A really lovely hotel, that could be fantastic! However, it is not 5* quality and is therefore overpriced for what you get.
The majority of the staff were fantastic, especially Erik, the butler, all the bar staff and the hotel us very clean. The reception staff however, were incredibly rude and particularly unhelpful!
A few key things…
Check-in is 3pm - we arrived at 3pm and our room was not ready, so we were told they would come and find us… 1.5 hours later we went to ask and they had clearly forgotten about us.
Small details like regularly running out of beach towels.
There are frequent power cuts on the island, which of course is expected, however, we had paid for a premium villa room and there is no back-up power in this part of the hotel (unlike the main block) meaning we were left without power, running water or a working toilet for hours on end. When we asked at reception about a solution to get ready for the evening, the staff rolled their eyes and said it could be hours! No apology or solution offered. We therefore asked to speak to the manager, who was at least apologetic and helpful.
The rooms, though a little small, are really comfortable and boutique. The staff were amazing too, super helpful - perhaps the most of anyone on our trip. It's a beautiful space, with direct access to the sea, and a really nice pool.
There were a couple of issues during our stay, such as coffee not being available one morning, as well as a couple of other items from their menu. It's a really nice hotel that we 100% recommend, but a little overpriced and presents itself as a luxury but lacks that spark. The reason our grade isn't too high is in relation for what you get for the price, but it's still a really nice place to stay.

אחד המלונות המדהימים שהיינו בהם!! אין לי אף רעה להגיד, חוץ מקצת חול בחדר שלא יורד באף ניקיון. אבל באמת שהכל מתגמד, ממליץ מאוד מאוד ואחזור אליו בוודאות!
La chambre
Les odeurs dans la chambre, la plage et surtout le rapport qualité prix décalé. À l’extérieur tout est serré: peu de transats, piscine étroite … une journée il n’y avait même pas de serviette disponible pour la piscine. Bref pas à la hauteur en regard du prix.

Staff were absolutely lovely. Especially edel, the rooms were beautiful and pool was amazing. On the sea and glorious rooftop bar . Could watch the sunset from the water or the bar. Absolutely incredible hotel
Food was quite overpriced. Lots of Italian food , reastraunts around hotel were also steak/ Italian. Only a buggy ride/ short walk to centre for Mexican food
The amenities are amazing! Has many different roof top pools, also access to the beach, the rooms are nice and we did have an ocean view, M4 was the room. It is still very new and honestly amazing hotel.
We went with our 2 year old and another family that had a 5 month old and the building we stayed even had a common area with a pool overlooked the ocean, Maybe because it was in May but we had that common area all to ourselves.
It was my birthday and they even brought us a bottle and a cheesecake slice that was delicious, made us feel celebrated!
Edel was amazing, he helped us with our luggage but really helps with everything in the hotels Erick the concierge was also amazing! The receptionists were very kind, loved everyone there!

Tuvieron un problema con el agua y las dos noches que estuvimos no pudimos ducharnos con agua caliente. Sé que la isla tiene sus problemas con el agua pero en un hotel de esta categoría no debería pasar esto…

Très bel hôtel, la chambre avec accès piscine était très jolie !
Notre chambre était à côté des escaliers donc un peu plus bruyant mais rien de trop grave.
Every single staff member was so nice and helpful. Azenet, Alvaro and Edel were my main contacts and they didn’t miss an opportunity to help. I really appreciated that because I had just came from another hotel in Holbox where there service was not as great as it was in AWA
Unfortunately that there was a party taking place behind our resort and the music was so loud but the hotel was nice to communicate that with us. I understand it wasn’t there fault. Another thing would be that the stairs leading into the beach were slippery and easy for people to fall
We stayed 4 nights at AWA Boutique in Holbox and had a great experience, we surely won't forget this hotel.
The hotel has private beach access, two rooftops, and a really nice beach club/restaurant (Fuego). We loved having direct pool access from our room, although honestly the beach was so beautiful that we spent most of our time there and pretty much all the people do the same thing. The hotel proposes some activities like yoga in the morning (we tried it a couple of times), other visits and adventures in Holbox.
The location is also very convenient, around less than 10 minutes walking from the center, with golf cart taxis (the only transportation method in the island) available anytime if needed or 3 mins in bike if you rent one.
The staff was incredibly helpful throughout our stay and even helped me organize a private dinner for my girlfriend. Special shoutout to Jazz for making it extra special.
We also tried the breakfasts, lunches, and dinners, and everything was consistently very good. Definitely recommend staying here in Holbox!
