Its history
The building is really nice, the gardens are amazing and beautiful. Really good food at the restaurant.
The bedroom was too small. The bed also was too small for 2. One pillow was dirty. Noise came from the road near to the hotel .
The grounds and pool
The room was so warm
Pool and grounds were as always lovely
Staffing poor and customer service variable some staff are lovely some are clearly not suited to a customer facing role.
Food in main restaurant was not to the standard of previous stays
Le jardin, l’architecture Tudor originale
Le restaurant Grill, la rumeur constante des autoroutes alentour
The location.
Terrible experience. Arrived late. Broken lamp bed light resulted in near electrocution. Lights in the room could not be put back on. We moved to another room. No air condition super warm.
Hotel staff accepted / recognised our misfortunes but nothing further.
The room was very attractive and had all required items such as kettle and tea/coffee/biscuits, TV, wi-fi, en-suite bath/shower.
Dinner - tasting menu - was superb
Breakfast also excellent - cereals, fruit, juice, full English/vegetarian etc, pastries
Also enjoyed the very large swimming pool.
Everything was excellent! The hotel is beautiful and located in a stunning historic setting. Our room was clean, comfortable, and well equipped. The staff were welcoming, friendly, and very helpful. We also enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere and the lovely surroundings. We would definitely stay here again.
Nothing at all. Everything exceeded our expectations.
Every single person we met went out of there way to greet us and were all super helpful
Breakfast a little cold and over cooked with hard eggs not runny.
Everything
Great staff, excellent bar including lunch, super bathroom .Good organising by concierge
Dinner poor, room small and no privacy
