Convenient and comfortable stop over during our road trip
Pros:

We needed somewhere near Preston, cheap and with breakfast, and this came up.
From the moment we checked in the staff were helpful and polite. The room was clean and roomy and the bed was very comfortable. It was a very comfortable and we will stay again when we next visit our friends.

Cons:

Nothing, even the busy road couldn’t be heard through the window. Our room was facing the back, but it was very quiet and peaceful.

Great hotel high quality food can run out of ingredients
Pros:

Great beds shower head and big bath.

Cons:

Long before arrival for 3 nights breakfast included, I asked to try and have a vegetarian sausage bacon option for the cooked breakfast. Quorn etc not just vegetables in a coating. They had a menu with a quorn sausages. Fantastic. No bacon but still a win. As a family of 4 we had 10 sausages over the first 2 days. By the last day the kitchen had run out. They did sub an extra hash brown and scrambled egg, and beans on toast for my girl but my boy is more fussy.
Ok a small thing and got a sub although no mushroom(singular) left either, and it was included so much better than I was expecting, it's the only time I get it now.

Shower was extremely slow toilet paper was so thin was waste time having it plug socket in hall way was broken and is dangerous on first floor
Breakfasts was a joke I’m gluten intolerant and vegetarian could not eat as there was only orange or apple that was available that was gluten free and vegetarian

relaxing comfortable surroundings in a lovely location
Pros:

everything was great, the room was clean and tidy, very relaxing atmosphere and comfortable surroundings. The staff very friendly and helpful, everything you needed was in your room, I had a very good sleep in a very comfortable bed. All in all i would definately come back again.

Cheap and not very cheerful. Pay more and stay elsewhere.
Pros:

We have stayed here for the past three years as it is convenient for visiting family. The staff are welcoming and there is lots of free parking.

Cons:

The property is owned by Greene King and it looks like very little if any money has been spent on decoration or maintenance. The accommodation block is next to the pub and while the rooms are large, they are terribly dated. The wifi is not password protected and keeps dropping out. On our last day I discovered the property is on the market for sale which may account for the lack of investment. It is situated on a very busy road where the speed limit is 50mph, which makes pulling out onto the road quite challenging.
