It's a budget hotel, so no frills. Room was fine, shower worked, etc. It's part of a pub, so easy to get meals, drinks etc. Location was good, lots of free and easy parking.
Reception only open at limited times. No aircon in hotel. Rooms are dated.
Clean rooms, friendly staff, especially the reception girls Jane & Kate, they have always made me feel welcome.
Poor internet connectivity and low water pressure for the shower.
Plenty of parking, clean room, and any staff I spoke to were cheerful and friendly.
A very spacious room, the bed a bit soft for my back, but the long, deep bath resolved that.
Absolutely zero mobile signal, literally no service, which made things very difficult trying to co-ordinate with the people I had come to visit.
I had to resort to the in-house WiFi, and wait for them to respond.
I'm amazed in this day and age, communication would be so restrictive.
It really made things awkward.
Breakfast was good, staff very helpful and friendly.
Wi-Fi could be better, everything else was good.
Clean room, lovely staff
The bed was comfy and staff was all pleasant and friendly.
It was run down and smelt like an old folks home. We had two rooms and had to change one due to the smell
Bed was comfy
The shower was a trickle. Carpets were grimey
Staff interaction and evening meals was very good except from them not responding to bad feedback whilst there.
The negativess. The rooms in the hotel were disgusting and in need of immediate remedial repair. We went as a family, 2 couples, 2 rooms for a weekend break. One of the party left the hotel yesterday and cut their stay short due to the lack of room hygiene and more. The double beds were damn uncomfortable too and 3 out of the 4 of us woke with stiff backs the first morning. Ive even been bitten by some kind of bug in my sleep with several little bits on my hand. Their were missing lamp shades, dirty smells in the rooms, odd bulbs, dirty tables, carpets that should have been in the skip years ago, missing pump heads off soap dispensers and lots of free penicillin in the mould in the silicone on the bath. Loose hand rails that nearly come off the wall when getting in and out of the bath which we needed to use for mobility. The minimum legal requirements for the doors under fire safety regulations need immediate attention as the door on one of the rooms was a good inch off the floor, exceeding the 3mm gap guidelines by quite a margin and it would not provide the FD30 as required by law. This was an upper room floor and in my opinion needs addressing urgently, and it should have been picked up on both internal and external fire risk assessments. The breakfast was also very substandard with very little on the plate and it was by no means a full English breakfast. 1 sausage (undercooked) with 2 bacon, 2 hash browns a table spoon of beans with 1 mushroom isnt worth the £9 per head paid. I have taken plenty of pictures so please feel free to have a nosey through my gallery. I could go on but I think the pictures will fill in the gaps for anything I havnt written.
Great sized quiet back room, comfy bed. Clean but dated accommodation, small but functional bathroom. Staff very friendly and very accommodating.
Fair distance from central Preston, located on a very busy dual carriageway.
Personnel accueillant, tant au restaurant bar qu'à la réception et une belle chambre bien confortable.
