SPECTACULAR visit to this wonderful resort on a beautiful area of Antigua. This was my family's first visit to Antigua. My wife, daughter (23) and son (20) were looking for a high end resort where we could relax and enjoy family time together.

The best way I could describe Blue Waters is a lush, secluded, high end boutique resort focusing on exceptional personalized service, 5 star cuisine, where everyone knows your name and is eager to ensure an unforgettable holiday with a beautiful beach, relaxing pools, and three excellent restaurants.

From the moment we arrived on property we were welcomed by the wonderfull Villa Manager Nicole. Throughout our 9 day stay, Nicole was absolutely amazing. She was always available, greeting us and always making sure everything was to our satisfaction. She assisted with every aspect of our stay, from dining reservations to arranging transportation and reserving spa appointments and pickleball court reservations. She was our onsite "concierge" the whole time and provided incredible personalized, professional and friendly service. Byt the time that we left, we felt we had been so privileged to have had Nicole oversee our stay. She is an absolute credit to this resort.

Room: We stayed in the Cove Villa 4 Penthouse. My family was blown away by the spaciousness and modern layout of this private top floor villa. With a magnificent view of the ocean (and sunset!), a wraparound full veranda, we had so much room. A full kitchen, 3 BRs, each with our own En Suite. Two of the rooms had access to the ocean facing veranda while the third had a view of the other side of the island. We had the substantial private pool to ourselves throughout the whole stay, never seeing another soul there. The pool was an infinity pool with a clear view of the ocean. Spectacular way to tend the day. There is even drink service at the private pool!

Beaches and Pools: The resorts pools and beaches were equally wonderful. We never had an issue with finding chairs or lounges anywhere. There were always plenty of towels as well. The quietness and seclusion of the resort were exactly what we hoped for. There was zero sargassum. We saw it far out to sea but it just floated right on past the resort so it was never a problem. The Antigua beaches are legendary and the beach at this resort is no exception. We found the Adult Pool to be an oasis that no one seemd to know about. It was often a place we would have all to ourselves. It sits on a hill, secluded with a beautiful view of the ocean from above. It provided a respite from the sun and a perfect place to float in the pool or take a nap on one of the large queen sized sun lounges.

All-inclusive: We opted for the all-inclusive option and I would ABSOLUTELY recommend it especially if you plan on having a couple of cocktails by the pool or drink at dinner. If you are on the All-inclusive plan, you are provided with your own personalized Blue Water water bottle for use throughout your stay. There are cold and hot water refill stations throughout the resort and always easy to find. It was a nice addition that we were unaware of. The food in general on Antigua is not cheap and with the quality of the restaurants on the property, the all-inclusive option was definitely worth it for our family.

Food: As stated earlier, the 3 restaurants on property, The Pal, The Reef, and The Cove, were all wonderful. This is not your typical all-inclusive Caribbean resort all-inclusive food. We are talking about 5 star cuisine all around. The food was always so fresh, expertly prepared and delicious. This was perhaps one of the best parts of our trip...the unexpected quality of the food at EVERY meal. A+ all around. With the quality of the food was the qulaoity of the servers. Everyone was so friendly and professional. Every morning at The Palm for breakfast we were warmly greeted by Derah and Kina. They could not have been nicer. They always greeted us by name and sat us promptly. The two of them always started our day with such a friendly and welcoming good morning and set the tone for the rest of our day.

Staff: There were so many wonderful staff members that we met throughout our week. By the end, they became like family. I mentioned Nicole, Derah and Kina already. Other staff members that were exceptional were Tario who seemed to wear many hat. He was always so friendly and attentive to our needs. We would seem him at The Palm, then we would see him at The Reef for lunch, and then we would see him working at The Pelican Bar!. And every time, he seemed to be enjoying what he was doing, talking with us and making sure we had everything we needed. He is a another treasure to be found at The Blue Waters Resort. Other notable staff members we met who went above and beyond in making our vacation memorable were Sheddy, a magnificent waiter at The Cove, Lauren at The Palm, and Brian T, our favorite bartender.
Summary: If you are looking for a relaxing, beautiful, friendly, personalized and high-end resort experience, Blue Water will satisfy your needs. Our family will never forget the resort, its beauty, the food, but mostly the people we met. It's The White Lotus without the craziness of TV drama. We can't wait to go back. Thank you to Nicole and the entire team for a memorable and magical stay.

We had a fantastic experience at the spa! We booked a couples massage and had Nathalia and Teshima who were so kind, friendly, and amazing at their jobs! Highly recommend, we will definitely be back!

Wonderful visit, enhanced by friendly staff and delicious food. Our trip was better than our expectations. We joined in with things I never thought we would, as there was no pressure and a fun vibe. Cliff top sunset yoga. Dance aerobics. We could have discovered more of the island, but we having such a great time. Always a good reason to visit again.

Our family, ranging in age from 8 to 74, recently returned from an unforgettable vacation at Blue Waters in Antigua. The resort is truly breathtaking. Every area is immaculate, offering a perfect balance between peaceful privacy and spaces designed for family fun.
What truly sets this resort apart is the staff. Every team member is friendly, attentive and truly takes pride in their role, contributing to the overall comfort and beauty of the property. Kevin, the hotel manager, regularly circulates among the guests to ensure each stay exceeds expectations. Nicole, also a manager, went above and beyond to accommodate our needs. She arranged two off-site excursions for our family, adjusted our dinner reservations seamlessly, and checked in with us daily to make sure everything was perfect.
At Blue Waters, guests are not simply identified by room number, but by name - a thoughtful touch that reflects the resort's genuine hospitality. There is a warmth here that feels like returning home while enjoying quality time with family.
We had a truly wonderful family vacation and would highly recommend this resort.

I had the best experience of my life

Amazing resort! Beautiful gardens, great pools, fantastic coves/beaches sea area. lots of comfy loungers and other pretty places to sit., alwys easy to get a lounger. Our room and balcomy were very comfy, spacious, with a wonderful view! Easy to get drinks/cocktails/snacks, cold water fountains everywhere. Peaceful , happy atmosphere. All restaurants good, espeially salads at Reef for light lunch. All staff , led by general manager Kevin Philips who was always around and happy to chat to us, were efficlent, friendly, helpful, but particular mention to Tremaine at Veronica's bar, Kina, Keva and Sparkel at The Palm, Karen P and Jeffrson on reception, and John the head gardener. Thaank you all!

Fabulous resort. Can not fault this resort. We have stayed at nearly all of the resorts on the Island & Blue Waters is the best so far. Staff service is excellent; literally everyone was 10 / 10 for service. Breakfast is really good. The Cove Restaurant is very special. Room was very comfortable & perfectly clean. Finally, a beautiful beach. Thank you to Kevin, the GM who was very attentative when I was ill one morning. Will definitely return & very happy to recommend.

Positives: impeccable communal buildings, gardens and hotel bedroom. Very friendly staff. Food generally of a very high standard.

Neutrals: deserts somewhat uninspiring.

Deltas: need much better risk assessment explanations for water sports e.g. wind and tide strength, do's and dont's, what to do if in difficulty.

If staying for more than 7 days, menus do not appear to change in Reef and Cove restaurants.

Overall: would definitely recommend and return.

We have stayed at luxury resorts in Jamaica, the Dominican Republic and Mexico but this was the first time we have stayed in Antigua. I have to say this was one of our favorite trips - due in large part to the attentiveness and kindness of the staff, including the resort manager Kevin as well as the woman who was assigned as our "butler", Nicole. She set up golf times for my son who was traveling with us as well as a boat trip. The boat trip includes snorkeling at Bird Island which was a little underwhelming until I swam quite far from the boat so if you are not a strong swimmer you may be a little disappointed. If you swim to the reef or the grass are there were multiple turtles feeding. The ride was really fun and a great way to see the island and the Captain and his mate kept us entertained the whole time.
We traveled with my daughter's family that includes an almost two year old and a very talkative and friendly four year old. No seemed in the least annoyed by his constant questions or requests for banana strawberry smoothies, or pizza in restaurants that did not have it on the menu. The staff at the Palm learned his name and greeted him at breakfast. The chef at the Reef even made pizza for him for dinner as a special request. As others have mentioned we never had an issue with finding chairs at the beach or the main pool, the beach is clean and the water so calm even the 2 year old went swimming (with floaties).
We stayed in a "penthouse suite" in one of the Villas (nimber 4) - which is essentially the top floor. The view was gorgeous and we shared a large pool with the other guests in the villa who almost never used it when we were there. Special shout out to Peter, who served us drinks at that pool and went out of his way to find mint for my son in law's Mojito (for some odd reason the resort kept running out of mint, which became an inside joke in the family because he loves mojitos). The room has three bedrooms all with their own bathroom. The resort is not modern (I found it charming that they still use an actual key to get into the room), but the AC worked well, the "mini" bar which was a full sized refrigerator was restocked daily and the room was cleaned very well. The beds and pillows were extremely comfortable. There was a crib for the 2 year old and a comfy rollaway for the 4 year old (Mom brought blow up bumpers to keep him from rolling off).
It was extremely quiet (the whole resort is) other than tree frogs at night. The grounds are a botanists delight, the 4 year old and I spent a lot of time on ChatGPT identifying plants. It reminded me of Sunken Gardens in St. Petersberg, Florida.
We did take the all inclusive which I think was a good choice as the prices on the menu are quite high.
Overall, we had a lovely relaxing week and are hoping to come back some day.
One more word to the wise - if you leave on a Saturday expect the airport to be overwhelmed and give yourself time - the line for immigration stretched the entire length of the building. And our plane was delayed because it was raining - not that the storm was dangerous - there was a very long walk across the tarmac and they "didn't want us to get wet" - luckily it doesn't rain that often in Antigua, lol.

My family and I just got back from a truly wonderful week at blue waters resort and spa. We typically go to the Caribbean 2 times a year (to escape the cold winter weather at home, in toronto) - usually Barbados, Jamaica or Mexico, and this was our first time to Antigua. We will certainly be back to blue waters. We had the most amazing experience. I note that we don’t typically take the time to write reviews, but this resort was absolutely fantastic- so wanted to share.

From the very moment we reached out to the resort in advance of our stay (with a couple of specific requests), we could see the staff at blue waters was attentive to their guests.

Our 6 year old son is on the autism spectrum and prefers routine, so travelling (planes/airports, new environments, constant transitions that go along with travel) can sometimes be difficult for him and us, and coupled with our busy careers, we typically look for more tranquil bespoke/boutique hotel where we can all take it easy and relax, unwind and feel taken care of/pampered (and not have to plan or think too much). Blue waters was exactly that. Not only is this a beautiful luxury resort, the service standards are absolutely impeccable. The pride everyone has in ensuring their guests have the most amazing, easy, relaxing, luxury experience is very clear. The staff is charming and genuine.

There were so many instances during our stay where we were blown away by the attentiveness and hospitality shown to us by so many members of the team at blue waters. The general manager, Kevin Phillips, greeted us when we arrived and chatted with us and the other guests throughout our stay (effortlessly ensuring everyone was well taken care of). Kina Black (manager at the Palm restaurant) consistently went above and beyond to make us feel like blue waters was “home”. From the moment we met her on our first day, she ensured that we were well taken care of (with genuine kindness and ease) and I could see her show the same care and attentiveness to the other guests. It is also clear that the staff at blue waters genuinely enjoy their jobs and working there…working seamlessly as a team - smiling and laughing with each other and the guests alike. This all adds to the friendly vacation vibe of this luxury resort.

The food at every restaurant at this resort was absolutely fantastic. I do not say that lightly (as we are spoiled by our restaurant-scene in toronto) - the food at blue waters was honestly top tier - Fresh, varied and delicious. Hats off to the chefs at the palm - the breakfast was so beautiful and varied every day. The kids menu was also very delicious (quality, whole and fresh ingredients). My son loved the fresh pizza at reef (which we would enjoy at lunch, as we looked onto to the ocean - fantastic easy going atmosphere).

We stayed in a cove suite at one of the villas. Our suite was spacious and beautiful (the ocean view was stunning…the sunset was breathtaking). We were on the 2nd floor. Housekeeping was also excellent - the lady who cleaned our rooms was thorough and obviously took pride in presentation and organization. We would walk back into our beautiful room after a day spent at the beach/pool to a fresh and immaculately cleaned, organized room. Wonderful!

The gardens are beautiful. “Beautiful” is actually an understatement - they were stunning. Cascading bright bougainvillea everywhere. My wife wanted to take a garden tour (apparently it is “amazing”, said many of the guests we spoke to) to learn more about the plantings from the head gardener directly. She didn’t get to it this time, but she will on her next visit!

The beaches are stunning. Easy to swim in….very little current, no rocks, gradual slope into the clear turquoise ocean. My son had a blast swimming in the ocean. Beaches were not too busy - we were able to find chairs every day but 1 (without having to get up super early to reserve a spot).

The bands which were playing music during dinner and the evenings were fantastic - Beautiful voices and talented artists. It all added to the sophisticated evening ambiance at the main bar.

Every guest we chatted to had equally lovely things to say about the resort, and everyone stressed on the genuinely attentive staff and impeccable service standards. I would also note that we met many guests who were repeat travellers to blue waters, and that speaks volumes. It certainly is a place where my family and I will be returning to…hopefully with a few more folks/family members from toronto to share in the good times with us. Thank you so much Kina, Kevin and the entire team at blue waters for a wonderful, relaxing and memorable stay. We are very much looking forward to our next visit!

We stayed for a week as a couple in February. The hotel is beautifully presented and clean. It is on a very small beach but with beautiful blue seas and wonderfully pretty gardens. There were always plenty of beach/pool towels available and various water coolers dotted about the resort to refill the water bottles we were given on arrival. Our room was a deluxe beachfront room which was quite adequate and well appointed with lots of cupboard space, a fridge and tea and coffee making facilities. The bathroom was large with a bath and separate shower. The balcony was lovely with great views across the sea where pelicans flew and dived for fish. Breakfast was one of the best we’ve ever had in the Caribbean. With lots of choice from a buffet or from the à la carte menu. Lunch was either at the Reef or the Palm and was always very nice with a good selection though a bit limited. Evening meal at the Cove we best not talk about three meals which weren’t cooked to our dietary requirements, although the Hotel management really worked to get this fixed for us the chef really didn’t seem to engage. Evening meals at the Palm was much better. Summing up almost perfect I would go again lovely hotel nice rooms beautiful location..

We came back for a 2nd year in a row, and enjoyed it again. The view from the 2nd floor of the Cove Villas 1,2,3 is just spectacular, and each villa having its own pool is also nice. The food is very good, all 3 restaurants were excellent, with the Cove being the best. The staff all over the resort is just so nice and friendly, they really make you feel welcome. Some staff members in particular we would like to thank are Cameron (food and beverages manager), Annia, Sparkle and Derah at Palm who made our breakfast there every morning so much more enjoyable, Del at water sports who gave a really great sailing lesson to my wife, Carez (the bartender at the Cove) who made delicious cocktails, and a special thanks to the General Manager Kevin who moved us half-way through our stay to the kind of room we wanted.

The only reason I am giving 4 stars instead of 5 is that despite our being repeat guests and clearly indicating twice the kind of room we wanted in the Cove Villas (a 2nd floor room) they put us in a Ground floor room, and it was only because Kevin (the General Manager) kindly interceded on our behalf that we were moved after 3 days. Blue Waters is such a wonderful place and we have such high expectations of it, that we would have thought that they would have been able to figure this out from the start.

Bluewaters was one of the best hotels I have ever experienced .
Amazing location with very very friendly and helpful staff. The rooms were extremely comfortable , clean and with full luxury amenities.
The food was of high quality and variety especially the huge breakfast and quality dinner. All in all I would recommend the hotel to anyone looking for paradise and tranquility with first class service.

Fantastic stay. The rooms were gorgeous, the views incredible, the beach pristine, the restaurant was very impressive, and the service and hospitality were top-notch. You feel the history when you’re there which takes it deeper, and anything you want to do on the grounds or outside in Antigua is easily coordinated by the concierge. Thank you Blue Waters for the incredible experience.

However every time I shower the bathroom becomes a river, the floors are like a skating rink, the food is mediocre and not a lot of choice when staff were told nothing was done
