Perfect place to stay!
Pros:

Everything was perfect, from check-in, the decor including the attached pub, the staff. Our room was well-appointed and very spacious. Breakfast was included and you were able to order off a menu in the pub. The location of the hotel was extremely convenient to walking down the main street for shopping. We chose to stay here as we were headed to Highclere Castle, a few miles away and out of town. We would definitely stay here again if ever back in Newbury.

We would DEFINITELY stay here again! Great walkable street ! Very kind staff!
Pros:

Great location! Had all the modern amenities but still was nostalgic looking and charming !

Cons:

It was all great — the first night we were hot because of the heavy duvet on the bed, but then we asked for just a sheet and they replaced the duvet with a sheet and light blanket and it was PERFECT!

Very enjoyable, great staff and facilities.
Pros:

The staff were very professional and friendly’ we had an excellent breakfast and throughly enjoyed our stay.

Cons:

We were not aware that there was a hotel car park, we parked in the public car park opposite the hotel.

Beautiful room, immaculately clean.
Pros:

Great central location, beautifully designed room. I appreciated the quality Linwood fabrics used. Comfy bed and fantastic shower.

Cons:

The vegetarian breakfast was really excellent. The pancakes not so much.
