Pros:

El hotel es una obra de arte en sí misma. El personal muy amable, y la comida estaba riquísima. La relación calidad precio es buena, pero lógicamente gastarás algo más que en otros alojamientos. Aunque sea solo cenar en el restaurante, merece la pena.

I wanted to stay forever
Pros:

Tugu Malang is, without doubt, my most favourite hotel in the world. The service was exemplary, the room superb, the restaurants were affordable, the complementary afternoon tea was wonderful, breakfasts were generous, the pool was perfect, fresh flower arrangements were replenished each day and the ambiance was extraordinary. I can’t recommend The Tugu enough. Well located, close to the train station, CBD and local attractions….. I could continue but you probably have the picture by now…. Perfection.

Warm and friendly staff as well as excellent food made for an enjoyable stay.
Pros:

The quality of food served in Melati and Saigon San was excellent -- tasty and substantial. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful with useful advice and suggestions. They helped to recover a misplaced earring. We appreciate the cheerful environment of the hotel.

Cons:

The suite we stayed in for 5 nights did not meet our expectations. Bugs and mosquitoes made our stay uncomfortable, especially at night. The doors did not open easily. Their joints were rusty, making loud sounds when we tried to open or close them.
The Apsara Suite was disappointing in other ways. The toilet and bathroom were too small and creaked noisily. It seems the suite has not been updated or renovated in many years. It was not value for the price we paid. Apart from the suite, we are happy with our stay in Tugu Malang.

Het personeel is zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Het restaurant is uitstekend en heeft een geweldige kaart. Het is een absolute parel om te verblijven. Hotel is zeer goed onderhouden en is zeer schoon. Zwembad is heerlijk. Een mooie en centrale locatie, een aanrader.

Un esperienza indimenticabile
Pros:

Questo non è un albergo ma un esperienza, vale il viaggio a Malang, altro che Bromo e escursioni varie, restare in albergo tutto il giorno, semplicemente un sogno, colazione ottima, piscina perfetta e una serie di sale arredate e piene di oggetti da collezione, un museo , la vera attrazione di Malang. Un sogno, ci tornerò in vecchiaia sperando di morire proprio li, un film di Poirot, un esperienza indimenticabile, grazie Booking, per il mio censo è impensabile che io possa ripetere una cosa del genere.

Cons:

Nulla, non si può dire nulla, l'albergo è vecchio ma questo aumenta il suo fascino, il proprietario è un genio !

Nous y avons séjourné une nuit et l'équipe a été adorable et extrêmement attentionnée, tout fait pour que nous nous sentions bien! L'hôtel est magnifique et assez calme si vous n'avez pas une chambre qui donne sur la rue. En effet la décoration est très réussie et complètement dans le thème de l'hôtel colonial, quasiment de l'ordre du musée, avec des vraies statues et peintures d'époque, beaucoup d'explications, c'est passionnant. Les deux restaurants, Malati et Saïgon sont absolument excellents, le petit déjeuner Indonésien est hyper bon et très bien valorisé, et le spa propose des super massage qui nous ont bien détendu.
Seul petit point faible, les cocktails du bar sont exécutés de manière légèrement fantaisiste, sur les six cocktails que nous avons commandés pendant notre séjour, certains ingrédients étaient absents (comme la purée de fruits de la passion dans l'ichigo) ou rajoutés (ils ont mis de la grenadine dans l'elderflower alors que ce n'était pas dans la description de la carte et que ça change quand même radicalement le goût du cocktail). C'est d'autant plus surprenant que ce sont deux "signature cocktails" de l'établissement.

Honnêtement je ne comptais même pas aborder ce sujet tellement tout le reste était parfait, jusqu'au check out. J'arrive pour régler tous les services additionnels que nous avons consommé (plus de 100€, aucun problème avec ça car les services étaient au top) et on me présente la facture sans surprise. J'ai l'honnêteté de leur faire rajouter les boissons du mini bar que nous avons consommé, ce que la manageuse (qui était le seul membre du personnel pour qui le sourire spontané semblait compliqué) exécute, lorsque celle ci se rappelle d'un coup que j'ai cassé un verre de la chambre la veille (ce que j'avais signalé de moi même, nettoyé par moi même, et même si c'est ma faute, je tiens à préciser que la table de notre suite n'était pas droite donc dès que vous la frôlez, les bouteilles d'eau placées dessus tombent et ont fait tomber le verre). Bref, à ce moment, la manageuse décide de le facturer le verre ! Situation lunaire ! Entre nos trois repas au restaurant, le bar, le room service et le spa nous avons quand même consommé quasiment 6 millions de roupies dans l'établissement en plus de la chambre ! Et si je n'avais parlé de cette histoire de Mini bar par honnêteté, le verre brisé n'était pas sur la première facture ! J'aurais mieux fait de me taire !
C'est vraiment dommage car en dehors de ça tout était parfait, aussi bien les prestations que le service, mais ce petit acte mesquin et non commercial est la dernière impression que nous avons eu de cet hôtel et il laisse un petit goût amer. Nous nous souviendrons malgré tout de tout le reste de l'équipe car ils ont été absolument adorables et bienveillants avec nous et on contribué au super moment que nous avons passé là bas !
