Pros:

It was exactly what I needed for an overnight before flying out. The room was small but very clean and seemed newly renovated. Just be aware that it is out by the airport and there are no restaurants nearby, only downtown. (There is a bar...) A cab ride runs $30 each way, so I elected to order delivery, an adventure in itself. You need access to an Icelandic cell phone to receive the 2FA security code before payment. The receptionist was kind enough to help out.

They tried calling me a cab in the morning and the cab companies weren't even picking up the phone! The owner graciously offered to drive me, saving me a mile's walk in the rain!

Cons:

I chose the smallest room at the lowest price, so that's on me. It was plenty for one night.

Pros:

We were given a house and not a room.

Cons:

I was expecting a typical hotel with a double room which is what I requested. Instead, I got a summer cottage with three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a full kitchen and living room. It was so much space for two of us for only one night! It would have been fine but there were many things that were broken or not working in the cottage.

Small and dirty. Although we had daily room service, the cleaning was very bad

Great stay at a good value
Pros:

Really excellent rooms: clean, comfortable beds and nicely arranged. The staff was really helpful and managed well even though it was quite busy. On top of it very decent breakfast.
