Taiyo Hotel & Apartment

We spent three incredible weeks here, and honestly? This place absolutely delivered.
We specifically chose Taiyo because we wanted an apartment, not a hotel room. And that’s exactly what we got: a full bathtub, washer AND dryer, a fully equipped kitchen, a proper workspace, and a separate bedroom. If you’re doing a workation, you might want a bit more desk space, but for a couple looking to actually live comfortably, this checks every box.

Now, let’s talk about the noise situation, because in Da Nang, this is EVERYTHING. The city is booming with construction: step outside and you’re literally surrounded by it. In most apartments in this area, reviews scream about unbearable noise. Here? We could barely hear our neighbors through the wall. That alone was worth it.

Fair warning: Friday evenings will bring Vietnamese karaoke from next door. But with the blackout curtains doing their thing, you’ll fall asleep just fine and those curtains, by the way, are LEGENDARY for afternoon naps. Southeast Asia sun? Completely defeated.

One thing nobody talks about enough: humidity here is no joke. Your clothes will not dry on their own. The in-unit dryer was an absolute game change: especially coming back soaked from the beach every day. The AC even has a dry mode, which tells you everything you need to know about the climate.

Speaking of the beac. it’s four minutes away on foot. They hand you fresh towels every time you head out and collect them when you return. No hanging wet things on the balcony, no hauling beach bags. Just pure, effortless vacation energy.

The room is cleaned daily. Fresh towels, clean bedding, dishes handled, toilet paper restocke, you literally never have to think about any of it.

And the Japanese toilet. I’m not even going to try to explain it. Just know that it’s a work of art and it will change your life.

Breakfast runs from 6:30 to 10:00 AM and it’s genuinely good, not the sad hotel buffet you’ve learned to dread.

Good food, like the omelet preparation and taste

Our room had a decent sea view with some nice green plants on a small balcony. The room was very well-equipped with a spacious shower, comfy bed, a small but functional kitchen, AND a washer and a dryer too! (the Japanese toilet was also a pleasant surprise).

The rooftop pool offered a great panoramic view of the beachfront. The location is right inside the An Thuong area (which is south of My Khe Beach, the main area with many expat-friendly cafes, bars and restaurants). The breakfast had a good selection, and we were particularly liked the Vietnamese dishes.

To top it all off, Rio, Lisa and the entire staff were super friendly and welcoming, always happy to help with everything from booking a scooter to providing local travel top tips.

Highly recommended if you ever pass by Danang!

Taiyo is a fantastic hotel in a great location, the rooms are spacious and comfortable with a unique style. The Wi-Fi is some of the fastest I’ve found in da nang as there is a router inside each room.

The staff was incredibly kind especially Rio & Helen. If I ever come back to da nang this will be my top choice to stay.

The location is excellent . It was clean. The staff is courteous.

We loved the pool, buffet breakfast, and convenient location. The staff were friendly. The beds were really comfortable. Walking distance to the beach. Stayed in the 2 bedroom apartment- 2 adults and 2 children.
