The room was what to expect. Also we were offered a downstairs room by a very obliging member of staff who recognised my wife's was issues.
This is part of a large pub complex on a busy road and was therefore a little noisy.

Dated but happy based on the price.
OMG, where do we start. It was like being back in the 70's. The dirt that met us at the door. Only one towel, one mug in the room. No table, one arm chair. Gardner badly needed all over grown. No uniform on lady at reception. Dressed as if she was going to the gym. A key to open the door no card, It's 2026. Carpets filthy. Badly needs a painting all over. Very cavalier attitude 😒 A huge overhaul needed. Bathroom square tiles, but it was clean. No air conditioning and no lifts but that was advertised. Your pictures are certainly not up to date. We would not recommend it or stay in it again. Not up to our standards. Hotel standards are far superior in Ireland.
The dirt, the filth, furniture in tatters, no attention to detail. Staff very cavalier. Money demanded before food or drink. We should be refunded. Horrible Horrible Horrible 😫 never stayed in such a kip.Should be removed from your website 😕

the food wasn’t good. we ordered fajitas and got mayo when it says with sour cream and the salsa was just tomato sauce. we ordered a kids pasta with the garlic bread and the garlic bread came 10 mins before actual meal and was cold by that point.
The room was large, warm, clean, nice big Samsung TV, bolsters for sitting up in bed. Also nice and quiet, in off the main road so not noisy. Reception staff lovely and friendly, helpful. Nice comfy bed, I slept like the dead.
The place was a bit dated decor wise but that only added to the charm, it was quite lovely and inexpensive, it provided us with what we wanted, a warm bed for the night and a pub/food attached so didn't need to go far to eat (though we went for an AMAZING dinner at the Turkish BBQ & Grill just across the road, few minutes walk, fantastic, highly recommend. I would definitely stay at this hotel again, it felt homely and unpretentious.
