Lovely outlook over the quay
It was a little warm in the bedroom
aircon not working
Large car park. Good choice of food & drinks at a reasonable price. Nice outdoor seating area overlooking canal.
Friendly staff.
I booked a "disabled " room, but......there was no walk in shower, just a bath, so be aware of that
Not much.
Too hot. Too basic.
Receptionist said there was not any parking in front of hotell but it was clearly a free spot
Easy to park. Quick check-in. Room was clean and comfortable. Did not use the restaurant but it was right next door if I'd needed it. Very good value for money and conveniently situated just off the A45
Although the hotel is by the river there didn't seem to be any access to walk around it. There was some noise in the evening from the nearby holiday park.
Everything close to hand the only downside was the lack of air conditioning but will definitely return as very convenient location for what we wanted to do during weekend
No air conditioning but that's only an issue during this very unusual year weatherwise
Good area
Too many spiders in the room
There was plenty of parking and the hotel was quiet, clean and comfortable.
For what I paid, it was excellent value and handy having the pub and restaurant next door.
A decent coffee machine at breakfast would be nice.
Location to the wedding of venue we were attending at Grendon Lake.
Unclean rooms, mold and mildew in the bathroom, dirty carpets, bugs in the bed, spiders on the wall, no hotel phone or refrigerator, no place to get water at night (no water fountain, water filling station or vending machines), no ice machines, no air conditioning and only small fans supplied by the front desk, unhelpful service at the front desk, no shampoo/conditioner in the shower, no toilet paper roll (just thin tissue type paper).
Local to our destination
Perhaps a little too busy in the local area
Good carvery in evening
Good breakfast
Location
There was an awful sewage smell at night. Also the room needs decorating as marks all over the wall.
Reception was excellent. It was quick, efficient and informative. The room was reasonably spacious. It was clean and adequately equipped. The bar/restaurant area was large. There is substantial decking area outside overlooking a canal environment which is great for a drink and relax. There are other residential options in the vicinity which provide bar and restaurant customers beyond the hotel's clients. It has a busy vibrant ambience. The staff are excellent and the meals good. Despite it being busy nobody seemed to be waiting very long at all - quite an achievement!
Would have been nice to have had breakfast on the decking.
