A lovely place to stay
Pros:

Lovely characterful room and good customer service.

Cons:

Dogs at breakfast- is there really a need to take your dog to breakfast. On a long lead so it’s able to stand and watch every mouthful you take?

Really good. We will stay again.
Pros:

A great hotel, full of character. Dinner and breakfast were very good and the bar was extremely well-stocked. The staff could not have been more helpful. Extensive parking available.

Great Stopover on Our Trip to Southern England.
Pros:

Our room was well decorated and the superking bed very comfortable with lovely crisp bedding. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty. We ate in the restaurant both nights and the menu offers a good variety of choices which were delicious. Since the weather was unusually dull and wet on the day we had to explore the area, we took advice from staff and were given lots of ideas and postcodes for the satnav which we appreciated. Parking was close to the entrance and plentiful.

Cons:

There's a strange arrangement for getting a table in the evening in the restaurant even when we reserved in advance. The waiter in the restaurant sent us to the bar and the barman told us to get in a queue. There seemed to be a need for more staff and/or training as the bar and restaurant are understandably busy.

Not as good as expected
Pros:

Bed was very comfortable and enormous

Cons:

We had only 1 hand towel and the other towels weren't folded as if the room hadn't been properly prepared. Coffee machine didn't work. Mugs didn't fit under the coffee pod spout.
Room had an odd set up, kettle + coffee machine down stairs, water was upstairs in the bathroom.
No makeup mirror on the dressing table, only the one in the bathroom.

We were visiting an event in Longridge and it was a 10 minute drive in a taxi. Hotel was great value for money
Pros:

Well maintained, comfortable & clean. Beautiful garden areas to sit. Inside was beautiful and breakfast was very good and hot

Cons:

Room was small but had everything we needed, very comfortable

Gorgeous place, well worth a visit!
Pros:

Beautiful setting, room was lovely. Bathroom also lovely with good water pressure & very hot water.
Staff were great, really accommodating & friendly.
Breakfast was delicious!!

Great stay overall
Pros:

Excellent Breakfast. All staff very friendly and efficient. Room very comfortable and welcoming. Great value for money and will definitely stay again.

L'hôtel est situé dans un bâtiment du XVIIIè s., plein de charme, et dans la nature. Les chambres sont confortables. L'accueil est sympathique. On s'y sent bien.

Nice country pub with lovely room. But need to sort out dinner arrangements.
Pros:

Pleasant well equipped room.
Good food at night and excellent breakfast.

Cons:

Booked table for dinner 3 weeks before but given table in bar that was not suitable to eat at.
Had to move to large long table in bar to manage. Not ideal.
Should have had table in restaurant area as we were guests.
And very slow service.

It was not just a bed for our long journey home but a wonderful night out. Thank you, your staff are gems.
Pros:

Everything. This is a fabulous property noted in the Domesday book. The food was delicious and the staff went out of their way to help you. The owners had renovated the property sympathetically restoring some of the old original features and with excellent decor. Our bedroom was small as is to be expected in a building of this age but everything was spotless and we were very comfortable.
