Great breakfast!
L'hôtel est situé dans un bâtiment du XVIIIè s., plein de charme, et dans la nature. Les chambres sont confortables. L'accueil est sympathique. On s'y sent bien.
Very clean. Lovely room. Nice bar area.
Lovely breakfast.
Could do with a blackout blind on the velux window in the attic room.
Pleasant well equipped room.
Good food at night and excellent breakfast.
Booked table for dinner 3 weeks before but given table in bar that was not suitable to eat at.
Had to move to large long table in bar to manage. Not ideal.
Should have had table in restaurant area as we were guests.
And very slow service.
Everything. This is a fabulous property noted in the Domesday book. The food was delicious and the staff went out of their way to help you. The owners had renovated the property sympathetically restoring some of the old original features and with excellent decor. Our bedroom was small as is to be expected in a building of this age but everything was spotless and we were very comfortable.
Nothing.
The room was nice, albeit a bit small. The bathroom was great and a good size though. Everything was clean and they provided a good fan that was super quiet. Dinner and breakfast were delicious and the dinner was also a really good price. The breakfast was prepared fresh based on a menu and was well done!
The room was a bit small and you can't open the window wider than a few centimetres but that's just UK regulations for you.
Nice rural location, good food and drink and staff were all helpful. Great view from room
Beautiful location and rooms
Very pleasant staff and the best GF menu I have found anywhere. Around 75 percent of the meals were GF, including pies and a suet pudding. The manager said this chain specialises in gf and the food was excellent.
We wanted a twin room and only the family suite was available. The description said there were stairs between bedroom and sitting room. This turned out to be a metal spiral stair up to the double bed with bathroom 3 steps below the main sitting room floor with sofa bed. We ended up both sleeping on the latter which was not very comfortable, as didn’t want to use the staircase during the night. To be fair, the staircase was visible on one of the photos in the ad but I didn’t spot it before booking - my fault I suppose. I felt also it was quite expensive.
Would definitely stay there again. Only stayed 1 night had a meal spot on and breakfast was spot on.
Couldn't find anything to dislike.
Built in 1654 lots of history and we had a beautiful suite
Could improve breakfast offer, only main course no yogurt fruit cereals etc
