Should have checked the details before booking
Pros:

Very pleasant staff and the best GF menu I have found anywhere. Around 75 percent of the meals were GF, including pies and a suet pudding. The manager said this chain specialises in gf and the food was excellent.

Cons:

We wanted a twin room and only the family suite was available. The description said there were stairs between bedroom and sitting room. This turned out to be a metal spiral stair up to the double bed with bathroom 3 steps below the main sitting room floor with sofa bed. We ended up both sleeping on the latter which was not very comfortable, as didn’t want to use the staircase during the night. To be fair, the staircase was visible on one of the photos in the ad but I didn’t spot it before booking - my fault I suppose. I felt also it was quite expensive.

Lovely stay with friendly staff

Loved our stay in this beautiful pub/guest house, the staff were so friendly and helpful. Our room was lovely with all the little touches to make it feel more homely. It was spotless. The outside area was lovely and it helped as the sun was shinning. Great overnight stay.

There was nothing I didn’t like about this property.

Nice rural pub with rooms.
Pros:

The location is nice. It's on a windy B road, but okay with care.
All of the Brunning and Price establishments we have been to over a long period have been clean and characterful.
Haighton Manor is no exception.
Breakfast was very good.
Staff were efficient and friendly.

Cons:

It's a relatively minor point, but leaving Haighton Manor on to the B road is tricky, as visibility is hampered by foliage which should be cut back. Easy to rectify.

Vehicles travel at a pace as it's a straight part of the road.
