Has potential as is in a nice location but some of the rooms need to be upgraded.
Pros:

It was a good location for where I needed to be. It's lovely being by tbe lake and watching the fisherman come and go. Breakfast was OK, the bar where it was set up was a bit cold though. The rooms were warm. The room we got moved to on tne last night was a big improvement on tbe first room. More modern.

Cons:

The bar was closed for 2 days we were there. The beds were really uncomfortable in our room. The shower was very poor in pressure and took a while for the hot water to come through. The last night we had to move as the room was below a very noisy aerial that was creaking and moving in the wind!

Worst accomadation we have been in.
Pros:

The view was lovely.The bed was comfortable.

Cons:

The french door in our room would not open because the lock was broken,so their was only a very small window to open.We classed this as a very serious fire risk.We reported it on arrival but nothing was done about it.The radiator valve on the heating was broken.Came back one evening and the room was boiling as heating was on full blast and no door to open.I insisted on being moved which they did.The young member of staff was lovely but never saw the manager on site at all.Nobody came in the room during the day to empty bins replace towels or milk and tbags.The service was bad.Never again.

The lady with the head scarf who served us both mornings for breakfast was very pleasant. She accommodated to all our needs and was very friendly.
Also there were to young girls serving behind the bar in the evening and they were very helpful with taking our food and drink orders.
I loved the fact we could bring the dog and it was a very relaxed atmosphere. The view from the bar is lovely and very relaxing. Plenty of parking area around the hotel and lots of area to walk.

Cons:

The hotel is not a 5* so anyone expecting that is deluded. Its a basic small hotel with beautiful views of the lake. Our room was basic but again thats fine its comfortable and relaxing. Although I have to say our daughter had a room at the same rate as ours also for 2 adults and 1 dog. The smell in their room was so bad it smelt so bad. They reported this along with having no kettle and a broken toilet seat. The kind lady from breakfast came with a kettle and a new toilet seat fitted but the smell was still a problem. Morning 2 and older lady just walked into my daughter and her partners room without knocking and firing questions at them on their stay which is just very rude and not acceptable.

Disgraceful behaviour. Guinness taps weren't
Serviced and the gas wasn't working. When booking a nice secluded hotel. Bar service should not be closed. I personally believe we should be compensated for our stay been ruined. I am a regular customer and left a lot of money there with about 7 friends over the last 2 weeks
