L'atmosphère vieille Angleterre.
La suite est top.
Had lots of character and excellent service
Lovely old-style building with a lovely courtyard garden area to sit and enjoy a drink & a snack. Welcoming greeting, using my name and genuine questions about my stay.
Nothing It was fab!
Dinner good. Breakfast absolutely average. No fruit or yoghurt. Bacon over cooked and kept hanging around

I had a wonderful stay at the hotel. It was a big plus that they are dog-friendly, which made the experience even better.
The staff were incredibly kind, welcoming, and helpful throughout my stay.
The room was clean, well-kept, and had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. I would definitely recommend staying here!
Outstanding staff
People and food -outstanding.
Although room was very old and small the Bathroom was immaculately clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
Ancient room meant bed was at an awful angle so very little sleep first night. Bought own pillows and used the hotel pillows to try to level mattress so allowing a bit better sleep on second night. Management informed and bed levelling wouldn’t be difficult.
Lovely historic building.
Best thing about the whole stay was the smashing key staff: the front of house manager, the chef, the breakfast staff. And I didnt meet whoever refreshed our room but thanks for the dog bowls!
All above lovely and absolutely accommodating. Nothing too much trouble.
Food was far from bad but it was ok. The roasts were great (including roast veggie nut roast which was really nice) but breakfast was a bit limited.
Traditional pub, lovely gardens and ideal for a stop over or short break. When they say dog friendly they mean dog friendly, with all the essential in the room and a sausage for breakfast. The gardens are fab with carousel seating and a wood burner. Highly recommend.
No complaints, it’s an old building and this needs to be a consideration when testing but the positives far out weight the negatives.
