Pros:

The Lakeside room was exceptional. The staff in the bar and in the breakfast room were brilliant, so helpful and friendly. Loved the location

Cons:

The only thing was we found the road going into the village from the hotel could use a proper footpath. Was a bit dangerous but that's not the hotels fault

One of the best accomodation choices we have ever made, up their with the very best
Pros:

We liked everything about this superb hotel. From the location to the very efficient staff in all areas of the hotel. This hotel deserves every plaudit you could ever give. The staff were exceptional, very efficient and attentive. A real credit to the management and the hotel industry. My wife and I have had a liftime of stays at every level and could not recomend the Lakeside hotel highly enough.

Too expensive for a 3 star hotel !
Pros:

Size of room was good.

Cons:

Shower was a dribble & only a rain shower over the bath! Fire Alarm went off at 4.30 am & false alarm & none of the staff were on our floor to reassure us !

Luscious Lakeside
Pros:

We loved the lakeside . We had a waterfront room and it was like being in Spain . The room was spacious with immaculate cleanliness , and gorgeous decor . It was super quiet and I liked being the last room in the corridor . The fridge is so handy . The shower and bathroom were gorgeous and lots of power in the shower . The staff were lovely especially the young man who delivered our room service . Porridge was so tasty in the morning . Loved the location and lots to do in Ballina . We will be back for our 3rd stay as soon as possible .

Cons:

The burker boiler was turned off at breakfast and we couldn’t get it back on .

lage ist super, prima blick auf fluss und brücke, großes zimmer, große schwimmhalle

Cons:

alles macht schon einen sehr abgewohnten eindruck, kein fahrstuhl, also koffer schleppen :-), hallenbad ist zwar groß aber wasser extrem chlorig und seifig, bleibt man nicht gerne lang drin. frühstück gut aber nicht sehr gut. für kinder ist die pfannkuchenmaschine sicher nett,

Nice stay but hotel not really geared up to have a big wedding and other guests as well
Pros:

Location , excellent room with view over river
Staff great

Cons:

Extremely long wait for a meal in bar/ brasserie
Waited 75 mins for food after ordering it
One item was not available and wasn’t told for an hour into the wait.
Also bill included items not received

Lovely, relaxing place to stay.
Pros:

Lovely hotel in a beautiful location. Breakfast, lunch and dinner were all good. We upgraded to a lakeside room which was a large spacious room with a terrace to the waterfront. Staff were all friendly and helpful.

Lacking aircon made the room feel very hot during a heatwave, however on departure I found a portable electric fan hidden away in a wardrobe.

Lovely and comfortable stay
Pros:

Location was brilliant , walking distance to nearby towns. Hotel staff lovely and very friendly. We booked a waterfront room and it was perfect. Ordered a pizza from Maureen’s hut on site and it was amazing! The girl who made our pizzas , I think her name may have been Chloe , she was working on Saturday 18/07/26 was so kind and lovely!

Cons:

We picked 07:30am breakfast as we had plans for the day and had planned to leave the hotel early. I feel the breakfast could have been more organised , coffee machines not working , a man said he would get us our coffees from the bar and returned 25 minutes later with the coffees when we had finished eating our food and we were ready to go. Food was lovely and fresh and can’t be faulted , just felt the breakfast experience was unorganised
