Had a lovely night's sleep, lovely clean room
I found the bar and restaurant very expensive
I like the grounds that was nice
where I was staying I felt very uncomfortable as many people was smoking weed late and talking so late and it was hot so I needed the windows open
The rooms were secure card entrance to the block and quiet, nice room and outlook.

Arrived earlier than my 9pm booking in time (about 7.30pm) and was welcomed into the restaurant.
I tried the burger and a couple of pints of larger which were good before going to bed.
Had the full English breakfast which was good ,I liked the black coffe out of the machine with the option of real milk in a jug to add to my coffe ,much better than the powdered milk out of the coffe machine.
We had cod and chips, I ended up with dreadful heartburn, the oil that food was cooked in needs to be changed.
The room could do with a deep clean, shower hose was filthy, need a soapy cloth to clean it, room had not been cleaned properly, stuff lying on floor from previous guest.
Mooie omgeving, super vriendelijk personeel, typisch Engels ontbijt met alles erop en eraan. ruime keuze met een bediening aan tafel, niet op zondag daar het te druk is maar er is zelfbediening en ook heel goed.
de afstand van het komen eten gedeelte naar de slaapaccomodatie, maar dit kon niet anders.
mensen met rugklachten geen goede matrassen slapeloze nachten

Food was very average. Real ale was poor (lack of use?).
Great location. Staff very helpful. Breakfast was excellent with great choices including Gluten free items. Evening meals were also very good value with great staff. Room was good. we stayed in the lodge and was restocked each day.
The tea bags in the room were PLANT BASED !!!!! why? MOST people want proper tea bags - its ok to have options but no proper tea bags provided HOWEVER i found some at breakfast and took a supply to use in our rooms.

Rooms where horrendous, pepper thin walls, you can here person next door snoring as if in room with you
Golf course good
Couldnt book golf tee time at same time as reserving room.Had the golf not been available would have had to cancel room and stayed elsewhere.Staying over guests should have same golf booking options as golf members in my opinion.
