Very friendly staff, nice for one night. Fairly comfortable.
Pros:

Loved the feel, it was cute, good location as we’d come from the spa at CP.

Cons:

Room was a bit dark, could have done with a lamp in the corner. I would have liked some toiletries and honestly the bathroom was a bit dated, a walk in shower probably better.

Pros:

Room was clean and had everything I needed. Staff were very helpful and made sure the windows in my room were open and there was a fan turned on for me as we were in the middle of a heatwave. Food was good value and very tasty

Friendly hotel
Pros:

As bedroom was very hot, we appreciated the residents lounge one evening. Good to have restaurant for evening meal. Friendly and helpful staff.

Cons:

Staircase was very steep especially when carrying suitcases. Bedroom was very hot but appreciated fan which ran all day.

If it’s good weather don’t book it

Great value for money for a decent hotel in a great location with free parking and lovely staff.

Staff were excellent, especially at reception. Room was big, clean and well decorated with a comfy bed

Cons:

Only issues were as it was a very hot day the one fan provided wasn't enough to keep us cool on the top floror, but that is just the weather not really their fault. Although, with the weather as it is maybe some portable aircon units for the top floors would help. Only other small issue was that not all the great sounding breakfasts were available when we stayed as they had run out of some basic ingredients.

Stayed a couple of times
Pros:

This is a hotel and a pub, but the pub is in a different building so there is no noise. I have stayed in different rooms over different stays, no all are equal. Some are very tired, some have been refurbished, depending on what you choose. Very good breakfast with à la carte selection of hot food, with full English to healthy choices. Good pastries, fresh fruits. Staff is very welcoming.

Cons:

No a negative review just a word of warning. This is an old traditional hotel. Floors are squeaking, not straight, carpets can show some age, some bathrooms are very small… however it is clean, comfortable and functional.

We had a very pleasant experience
Pros:

All staff members we came in contact with were polite & friendly, had a nice meal in the restaurant on our first evening, breakfast was very nice on both mornings plenty of choice.

Cons:

Bathroom was compact, larger guests would struggle to get around the door. But it was adequate and you have to take into account the age of the building.

Another lovely stay at The Bell
Pros:

We've stayed here previously, the night before a work event, and I'd recommend for anyone looking for good value accommodation in the area. We were well looked-after by Alex and the package we booked via Booking.com (dinner, bed & breakfast) was amazing value.

Cons:

The rooms a little old, but they're clean, and as you might expect from an old, B&B/pub building.

It ticked all of my particular boxes - excellent.
Pros:

Very good breakfast.

Excellent location for me. Was meeting a friend for lunch and preferred not to have a 45-50 minute drive home again. I meet another friend for lunch in Woburn and would certainly stay there overnight again.

Cons:

There was nothing I didn't like. The staff both in the hotel and the "pub" opposite were great. I had the feeling that nothing would be too much trouble.
