Pros:

Staff very friendly and breakfast was very good.

Cons:

Room was nothing like photos shown on Booking.com. I had booked the Bell Hotel but we were accommodated across the road in the pub. The decor was very old and worn and room was crooked with a slanted floor. Room was right next to a very busy main road. Not at all what I expected.

This hotel restored my faith in Greene King Inns
Pros:

Lovely, clean and comfortable "Pub Hotel" in a great location. Much nicer than another hotel in the chain in Hitchin. The staff were super friendly and couldn't do enough to make us welcome. The food and drink in the restaurant was lovely too.

1 night stay, didn’t get much sleep. Disappointing.
Pros:

Location was good, although anywhere in Woburn would have been OK as the village is so small. Catherine was great - called me to check I was ok with the room allocation and friendly during checkin. Breakfast food was decent (buffet plus made to order item), although hot drinks choice was disappointing (just a jug of filter coffee brewing - no offer of lattes etc).

Cons:

It’s an old property and while the public areas are fine, the bedrooms haven’t seen a lot of love and the standard rooms are very small and over-furnished for the space available. Bathroom was basic - shower curtain over bath. Bed not very comfortable and bathroom fans sounded like a helicopter overhead and stayed on for a long time. WiFi didn’t work despite access point being just outside our room. Service at breakfast was hit and miss, with a loud phone alarm going off multiple times and left to guests to silence. Would try a different hotel if needed to stay in Woburn again, or opt for a modern hotel like Moxy Milton Keynes for less.

Cons:

Les prises de courant sont toutes au format UK. SI vous pouviez installer des prises USB qui sont un standard international pour les téléphones et ordinateurs, ce serait super.

One night stay
Pros:

The fantastic welcome we got from Catherine. She explained everything in great detail. The restaurant directly across the road was excellent. We had a nice evening meal. Would liked to have seen more hand pulled ales
Good choice for breakfast.

Cons:

Although the room was adequate the floors were very uneven and squeaky.
The shower was actually too powerful to the point of being uncomfortable
