The waterfront location at this hotel was outstanding. The hotel offered a total luxury experience in Kochi. The room was tastefully furnished, the stuff was very helpful and attentive, the hotel recycling police was exemplary and I liked the fact that the Brunton Boatyard Hotel offered a public water refilling station for the general public on the outside of their resort. The waterfront swimming pool was well sanitised and with a perfect water temperature my wife and I really enjoyed our daily swim. Thank you
Sometimes during the day the local carferry was a bit noisy but it did not detract from my hotel experience
Property and building: So, so well maintained. We loved the character of the building and how the flooring, furniture, art etc all contributed to the old world charm. All while still offering the modern luxuries that make the stay delightful - air-conditioning, coffee machines, bath tubs, bath amenities etc.
Rooms: We had the water-facing suite and an adjoining non-water-facing room. Both rooms were extremely comfortable. The view is absolutely stunning. We loved the snacks placed in our suite. :)
Restaurant: The breakfast has an excellent selection; please ask for and try their 'special breakfast of the day'. We had dinner at the 'Armoury' a couple of times. The food is great and the staff is excellent. From the Chef and the Managers to the servers - all of them take the time to interact with the guests.
Spa: Extensive spa menu to choose from, with detailed explanations. Treatments are excellent and deliver as promised.
Staff: From front office to housekeeping and restaurant to spa - all staff is very well trained. They are knowledgabale, polite, friendly and helpful. They just make the stay more pleasant and memorable.
Everything was excellent. No complaints.
- прекрасная высокая кровать с отличным постельным бельем
- быстрое заселение с вкусным лимонадом и бананами в номере
- разнообразный завтрак
- хороший ужин в ресторане History
Super Hotel
Sehr nettes Personal
Toller Afternoon Tea
Die Preise für Taxi / Touren sind im Hotel mehr als doppelt so hoch wie wenn man direkt auf der Straße selber fragt.
Ebenso ist do Fähre sehr laut.

Great breakfast at Armoury - all carte beautifully laid out.
Dosas at breakfast - very dry and poor
It's a lovely property with a 10/10 for location. The breakfast was really good. The property is very well kept and clean and if you like colonial dutch style architecture, this is the place to go to !
The fine dining restaurant, History had very limited food options but to be fair they did say it was because of the current commercial LPG shortage.
Ich war in vielen Hotels, aber das Brunton ist etwas besonderes. Wunderschönes Gebäude, liebevolle Details und ehrlich freundliches Personal. Besser geht es kaum.

An oasis of calm n a busy city
Next door to ferry, some noise from this
Top Hotel
Bit too costy
LOCATION - 10/10
This was my first visit and stay at Fort Cochin. The property is wonderfully located. Walking distance from the Water Metro Station, the cafes, by lanes and the sights and sounds.
CUSTOMER SERVICE - 5/10
The staff were really friendly and helpful. But at times when we wanted them to come good, they couldn't. e.g. We bought food from outside (something which wasn't available on the menu for dinner) They refused to heat it up citing policy.
ROOM COST vis-a-vis AMENETIES - 4/10
For the cost of this room, you can book a mid to above room in an Oberoi or any of the premium properties. For the amount that is charged, I do not see value in the room per se.
FOOD - 3/10
They have 3 restaurants in the property. I tried food from 2 of them. 1 was for breakfast. Which was nothing remarkable. Ordered dine-in from another restaurant - below average food. North Indian. Now you might be wondering, who orders North Indian cuisine in a Kerala Property. It was because the Malayalee food was nothing to write home about as well.
Overall if you are a non-malayalee, you might find the food good. If you haven't been to other prime properties across the country and in Kerala, you might find the rooms wow or force yourself to believe it is wow for the amount you are paying. Location is stellar.
The beautiful spacious room. I had the seafacing one.
Noise from boats and ferry nearby.
Great location and the most comfortable bed we had whilst travelling Kerela. The staff were fantastic, especially Jasmine who checked us in and took us on the boat ride.
Nothing
Excellent and delightful property offering very high standards of service. We were taken care of very well and will certainly explore other CGH properties when we next visit Kerala
The only thing was its location next to the ferry which cannot be changed but it not detract from our experience ultimately
Fantastic oldy worldy colonial style property with the best staff ever. Extremely attentive and friendly staff each and every one of them
The free boatride and yoga sessions, high tea are a great extra touch.
We also organised a tuk tuk guided tour which hotel arranged. Our tuk tuk driver Sanee was fabulous.. do ask for him should you arrange a tuk tuk guided tour.
