Wunderbare Lodge mit viel Charme
Pros:

Diese schöne Lodge, mit viel Charakter und Charme, direkt am Wilson Airport gelegen ist für einen Kurzaufenthalt wunderbar.
Kurze Wege zu allen Sehenswürdigkeiten.
Hervorragende Küche, perfektes Frühstück.
Sehr freundliche und hilfsbereites Personal.
Die Kaminabende sehr gemütlich.

Cons:

Über Tag ist es etwas lauter, durch den daneben gelegenen Flughafen.

Food and service was excellent, bed comfortable and location Ideal for our early flight. Staff booked a reasonably priced taxi to the departure point

Cons:

We'd ordered a breakfast to take with us but it didn't happen. The kitchen whipped up a nice bacon sandwich so not all was lost

Pros:

This is a charming small hotel with a wonderful feel of the history of its place. The rooms are very nice, and the restaurant and bar areas are so charming, as is the covered outdoor seating area. If there is even the slightest chill in the evening, you can sit by either stone fireplace with your cocktail. Every single staff person with whom I interacted was helpful beyond measure and always with a smile.

Add to that the location - if you are taking bush planes to safari airstrips, you could not be more conveniently located to the airport - and I think this place is a gem.

Cons:

Maybe just a tiny bit hard to locate if your driver is not familiar with the Wilson Airport area.

On contacting the AeroClub after my departure re charger leads and plug...only the leads were returned
I ordered a taxi from JK with my booking but no one appeared. Eventually after a number of phi=one calls someone came, but charged me extra

Terrific place to stay off the busy Nairobi hustle.
Pros:

Next to a somewhat noisy airport but quiet and relaxing nonetheless, with plenty of nostalgic/historical value. Food was reasonably priced and very good overall.

A bit hard to access for some of our drivers coming from outside the airport.

The old ornaments were nice to look at

Cons:

The room was really cold and the aircon warm setting didn’t work. Asked at front desk for it to be fixed but couldn’t be so got a blanket. Rooms a bit basic.
