Room and bed were very comfortable. Very clean. Good location at town centre. Breakfast and dinner were both good. Helpful and attentive staff

Overall, Melrose was lovely and this is a great place to stay
Pros:

Lovely location, in the village, staff were friendly and always around - room was clean and well appointed - for a small village hotel it was lovely - nice bar and drinks garden round the back - we had one of the best steaks l have had in a while! very good restaurant - well worth the booking but not cheap. overall really enjoyed our stay and would go back

Cons:

If you have a room at the back - expect 6am wake up from the staff and the trucks ....wasnt too bad but the noise started early - we were last minute booking so wasn't expecting the best choice of rooms
