Beautiful hotel, hosts and neighbourhood
Pros:

We adored our stay at Hotel Casa Aqueducto. The neighbourhood is beautiful and peaceful and has lots of great cafes and restaurants nearby. The hotel itself is extremely clean, with free water, tea and coffee and beautiful balcony's to relax on. It's a really easy and beautiful stroll to the centro. Emilio, his family and all of the staff were the kindest and most attentive hosts that we have experienced in Mexico. They went out of their way to accommodate our requests including storing our bags for a week while we went hiking.

Die Gastgeber sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Im Zimmer gibt es Kaffee plus Kaffeemaschine zum selber brühen, als auch eine kleine Bar mit Wasserspender, Eiswürfeln und Kaffee zur Selbstbedienung. Es gibt einen kleinen Pool auf der Terrasse im 1. Stock und die Dachterrasse mit Gemeinschaftsküche, Geschirr und großem Esstisch lädt zum Verweilen ein. Alles sehr einladend.
Von hier aus geht man herrlich zu Fuß immer entlang des alten Aquädukts durch das lebendige Oaxaca.

We had an amazing stay at Casa Acueducto! Emilio is fantastic, incredibly kind and available. The rooms are very cosy and clean. The terrace is a great perk. The hotel is located slightly outside of the busy streets of the city centre but all the necessary amenities are close by. The walk to get downtown is just lovely.

Un lugar genial para descansar, con una atencion extraordinaria de sus empleados!
Pros:

Es un lugar tranquilo, durante nuestra estadia no escuchamos ruido. El personal fue muy amigable y atento, nos ayudaron a recomendaros restaurantes, lugares que visitar y actividades que podiamos realizar mientras visitabamos la ciudad.

Beautiful space, great location! The hotel is well designed with amenities available such as drinking water, coffee and tea. There's also a nice rooftop area and balcony to enjoy the views and comfortable evenings.
The location is away from the central area in a cute, less touristy neighborhood to get away from things a little, but only a short walk when you want to get in. Lovely cafes and restaurants nearby, and the owners can provide a nice list of their recommendations.

Cons:

Our street facing room was a little loud at times.

Exceptional
Pros:

I really enjoyed my two-week stay at Casa Acueducto. The owners and staff were extremely helpful and knowledgable about the area. My room and the whole hotel was kept spotlessly clean and felt very welcoming. I had dental surgery while in Oaxaca and it was the perfect place to recover; it has 24 hour ice machine (great for my swollen face!), hot and cold water and coffee, and also facilities to prepare food in the rooftop. The rooftop space was fantastic, with gym equipment available for use day and night, a big table for socialising, working or eating and the aforementioned fully equipped kitchen. WiFi worked extremely well. The location is fantastic; it's in a funky neighbourhood with amazing murals, cafes and restaurants and is a short and very picturesque walk from the centre. I'd definitely recommend this place and will be coming back next time I'm in Oaxaca.

Cons:

There isn't a large sign outside at the moment, which could be a bit confusing when arriving for the first time, but that's a very very minor issue. The building itself is made of beautiful and distinctive red brick which is easy to remember once you've found it.

Really disappointed with the comfort and the location

The manager, Eduardo I think, was great. Tried to help in every way.

Cons:

If you book this as a boutique 4 star hotel, as I did, you will be disappointed. This is more of a hostel than a hotel. We got 2 rooms that were literally next to the reception so everyone had to pass by going in and out. They were also without daylight and felt like being in a basement. On the second day, our bedroom got flooded with sewage from the bathroom drains and the rooms were stinking after that. Reading the reviews I thought that the location was right in the centre of Oaxaca, its not. Its in a nice area but a good 20-25 minute walk to the interesting parts of the city. Loved Oaxaca but would not stay here again.

Kleines, schönes Hotel mit sehr netten und zuvorkommenden Host

Die Lage ist nicht ganz zentral, aber da Oaxaca nicht gross ist ist man schnell im Zentrum und muss nur eine Strasse runter gehen. Der Host ist sehr nett und hilft einem bei Extrawünschen. Es gibt viel Zusatzleistungen wie kostenlosen froschen Kaffee, gefiltertes Wasser und weiteres. Das Hotel hat eine schöne Terrasse und einen Balkon mit Jacuzzi. Wir hatten einen guten Aufenthalt und kommen gerne wieder.

Cons:

Leider hatte haben wir das letzte freie Zimmer bekommen, das vom Schnitt nicht ganz so schön wie die anderen war und auch kein Fenster hatte.

Quiet Gem with Stellar Service

The location was perfect, tucked away on a quiet street yet close enough to the centro for easy access. It felt peaceful but never isolated, with plenty of stores and services nearby for quick bites.
We walked everywhere, which made exploring a breeze. Ricardo was a standout; he gave us spot-on recommendations for the best local eats. Water, coffee, and tea were available at all times which were great.

Not too much sun going into the room.
