Lovely double room with private bathroom and Double room with shared toilet & PARKING FREE

Nothing much

I was staying for 2 nights. They provided instructions to obtain the key from a lockbox and to access the room which I followed. Stayed for one night then I was told the next day that I had entered the incorrect room (as specified on the instructions) and I would need to return the room to transfer my belongings to a different room however I wasn’t in the city. They asked me to return to the room to move them or they could move them for me which I didn’t want them to do. I asked for compensation for the inconvenience and they told me they wanted me to pay THEM compensation for the inconvenience of moving my belongings even though it was their mistake in the first place.
I spent an entire morning and early afternoon responding to these messages which sort of ruined my 2 day trip to Edinburgh. I had to phone booking.com to discuss the situation as I didn’t feel it was fair for me to be charged for their mistake who were helpful
Eventually I did return to the room at 5:30 to move my belongings and spoke to a lady who was nice and apologised but regardless this still impacted my trip and I wouldn’t stay here again.

La habitación me pareció un poco agobiante. Personalmente creo que el sofá de la habitación 2, no hace ningún papel pues está pegada a la cama, lo que hace que tengas que dar un salto para acostarte en ese lado. Por otro lado, el cabecero es de terciopelo, ideal para las alergias, cosa que pasé mala noche, pero bueno, las almohadas pueden ser más cómodas.
Realmente, era como lo esperaba y lo recomiendo si estáis de paso y cuadra en vuestro literario, nosotros solo estuvimos 2 noches y como digo, está genial y tiene lo suficiente, una cama, y un baño.

An actual lock rather than a hook on the inside of the bedroom door would have been nice.
One of the spotlights in the bathroom is out and needs replacing.

No chrome cast remove and no cups for the kettle, had to try every lockbox to hunt for my key then try every key to hunt for my door before the letter responded.

We arrived and it took 20 mins to get in the property as the safe box had no access keys in it eventually the cleaner let us in. The security to the room was a 50 pence padlock and a 20 pence ring screw and hasp not adequate and did not feel comfortable leaving any valuables. The kettle did not boil the water for a cup of tea or coffee and the coffee that was supplied was stale and old, sugar was damp and there was only lemon tea bags, there was 2 x sachets of milk that had obviously been left there by someone when we asked the cleaner for more she informed us via a phone app translator that there was no more and offered us a small carton of milk that was 2 weeks out of date then disappeared and came back with soya milk.
The television will only work if you have Netflix on your phone as there are no standard channels on it.
After returning from being out for the evening the heating was not working and did not work for the remainder off our stay including no hot water to wash with.
The cleanliness of the room is not bad however there are apparent splats of blood on the back of the bathroom door and the towels are old and well used. In the main room the curtains and odd which is very strange and do not stop the draught coming through the window.
The property is very noisy due to the location of the lift but this cannot be blamed on the room however overall for the price that was paid was a real disappointment and spoiled the stay in Edinburgh and would recommend any further customers to seek alternative accommodation.
When I text the mobile number I was informed that all the information was on the website prior to booking and the heating was a result of an overnight fault so did not want to disturb us so blatantly lied to us as it was not working at 2100hrs. In relation to the other issues was not really interested and did not issue any form of apology but just stated that we had been informed about everything on the accommodation description.

Collège dorm in an industrial area, unfriendly and rude host. We booked a room with a private bathroom which we didn’t get, the keys that were given to us unlock both rooms, so it’s very unsafe if you want to leave valuables in your room.

The room is not as nice as in the pictures. The door can only be locked with a metal hook. Tv doesnt work, closets are locked. There is no fridge just a woden box resembling a small closet. The matrace is extremely uncomfortable and probably very old. Its very expensive for whats its offering and you are in the apartment with other people where everything can be heard.

Owner doesn’t speak English. So couldn’t communicate.
