Variety and quality of food excellent, staff very friendly and attentive, location of hotel was exactly what we expected.
there was nothing to dislike,we had an amazing 4night stay and would definitely recommend the hotel to friends and family
Great views.
We appreciate to get great views there is usually a steep walk.. we hadn’t got a car so the walk was a challenge but got easier over time!
I loved the warm welcome from Gary and great location provided a stunning view
Also the ladies who served breakfast were so lovely and welcoming
Nothing at all
Lovely accommodation. Well kept. Beautiful views across the bay. Rooms spacious and very clean. Breakfast was delicious and a variety of choice with fruit cereals and cooked food.
It was unfortunate that there wasn’t anyone at the desk to greet us as we went in or to show us around. Our key to the room was left on the desk with a note attached.
There wasn’t anyone on the desk when we left either. Again we left the key in the desk as we had found it.
The views from the hotel were spectacular. The hotel staff were lovely. The breakfast was excellent.
We payed royally for our room, expecting a lovely sea view (£430 for 2 for 2 nights) However our room was up 2 steep flights of stairs, on opening the door we were greeted with a clouded glass window looking at nothing much! As my wife has limited mobility, and was looking forward to enjoying the view's this did not bode well! Coupled with the fact that the hotel sat atop a steep hill, this meant our walking options were nil! I expect this was our fault for not fully reading the details of our confirmation, but I felt sure I'd initially clicked the sea view room. The hotel manager wasn't particularly helpful either. The decor was a bit tired also.
Great breakfast, lovely bar area. Nice staff. Relaxing vibe. Great views
Long walk up hill was the only negative
Good location, only 5mins walk to town. Great breakfast with great selection for all tastes.
Hotel on quite steep road, not good if you have mobility problems.
Lovely small boutique hotel just a 15 walk from the town centre
Wonderful view from the room, great staff, excellent location
very clean handy for Barmouth
nothing
The hotel was very dog friendly, clean and we had a large, but basic room. The views from the hotel grounds were exceptional. The hosts serving breakfast were extremely pleasant and breakfast was fresh and plenty of choice, including a cooked breakfast. All in all a very pleasant stay.
Gary had gave us room 7, obviously we had seen reviews based on this room. We were a bit disappointed that we had been given this room as the fans to the kitchen were below our room and were put on early in the morning. Yes, you could hear them, but it was not as bad as we thought it would be. The view was of the car park and roof, so not the best room in the hotel. All being said I would still return, as Gary and Izzy the cockapoo were amazing and we had a great time in Barmouth.
Large room and en suite. Excellent view across estuary. Breakfast very good and well presented. Plenty of parking space.
A bit of noise from upper floor. No shaver or toothbrush charger socket.
Mattress uncomfortable
Lovely friendly staff and wonderful location
Nothing
Bae Abermaw Hotel is in a great location. It’s up a hill, away from the hustle and bustle and has spectacular views.
We stayed on the top floor and enjoyed the sea view from the bedroom and bathroom.
Our room was clean and modern and there was tea/coffee/kettle in the room.
Gary was a great host and the waitresses at breakfast were both super friendly. Nothing was too much trouble.
The breakfast was great, lots of choice and if you’re lucky you can grab a sea view table. There were cereals, fruit, yoghurt, pastries, pancakes and cooked breakfasts of different varieties.
The TV signal was poor in our room and kept cutting out.
No fan!
The location and the lovely staff
