Lovely pub with rooms, gorgeous gardens, lively friendly staff and comfortable room.
The bathroom was spoiled by the old and therefore not attractive or clean wooden not window, it needs replacing and no doubt is on a list somewhere. Also took some laughs to find the bathroom light switch! (It’s at height, on the wall behind the opened door)
The building was great, Nigel the manager was great, location and parking all good. I would recommend and stay again.
Wifi wouldn't connect, Food was really, really overcooked (throw away standard) and the bath only had a dribble of water took an very long time to get enough water. Paid for breakfast but didn't start serving until I had left ... so I suppose the overall message is great place, catering needs a review.
Staff were amazing
Would like to have stayed longer, but was fully booked.
Une cuisine maison de produits frais
Breakfast and quaintness of the place.
Lack of cleanliness. Facilities more than tired. Bedroom better than the rest but access stairs very difficult. Headroom impossible.
Beautiful location and environment
Hotel part communal areas were tired and grubby, worn parts of carpet on stairs and dirty doors and banisters, dirty communal toilets.
Staff were friendly and very helpful. Stunningly location.
Nothing
Staff were great and good was awesome. Very quiet so a good night's sleep from that perspective.
Bit too hot, but it may suit others. Gents is awaiting a refit - signage suggests it's planned. Other parts of the building are tired and need some tlc.
Site and location
Bathroom to number 5 needs to be redecorated
Super comfy bed and room. Delicious food and atmosphere and lovely staff. Highly recommend!
Lovely room - very clean- comfy bed- very friendly staff- excellent food
Stair access to our room was difficult
Hi, this lovely little building just needs some love and attention. The bedroom was cold on arrival and I had to get help to turn the heating on. The ceiling in the bathroom had a flashing light and peeling, flooded paint. It looked awful. The light fitting in the bedroom had bare wires showing where the ceiling rose should be. My husband put the ceiling rose back in. The bar shuts before 10pm and breakfast is only served until 0930. There are no Uber's in the area and taxi's are limited.
The best thing about the property was the lovely welcome and the breakfast quality. It was amazing.
The bedroom was cold, damp, had flashing lights and the bathroom light is on a sensor. Which when you are in the shower and the lights go off, isn't very helpful.
The pub in general is good, the rooms are a bit quirky but comfortable. We had room two, a small double. The staff where lovely and Alistair charming
The only thing that let it down was that the light fitting was dusty and lopsided and the shower room needed a good old scrub down around the seals on the outside of the door. There was also a layer of dust on the towel radiator.
