Pros:

Stayed in the cottage and enjoyed dinner and breakfast in the pub - excellent food and beautiful garden.

Cons:

Beds in the cottage could do with new mattresses - too soft in our opinion

Gezellig hotel!
Pros:

Definitely recommend. Great find. Fabulous dinner in evening with new menu
Pros:

Location was perfect. I took my son to Thomas land for his birthday at Drayton manor and we stayed here 1 night before travelling home.
Staff went out was to help when I arrived as I am
Single mum with my toddler. They even carried cot upstairs for me.

Cons:

The breakfast in morning wasn’t a good as the dinner in evening. They only had white bread. No brown available and that wasn’t explained when I asked for brown bread. No kids menu for breakfast. Service at breakfast wasn’t a good at service in evening for dinner and welcome I got when I arrived.

Pros:

A very warm welcome after a long drive to Northamptonshire for work. I parked (plenty of spaces), checked in with ease, then came downstairs to the lovely restaurant/bar area and enjoyed a superb meal. The staff are really attentive and friendly. My room was lovely - a very comfortable bed and nice touches including bottles of mineral water, lots of (organic) tea and coffee choices and great toiletries. Unfortunately I didn't get to enjoy breakfast as needed to get on the road for work. I look forward to staying again. Can highly recommend.

Cons:

I cannot fault The Red Lion. Amazing value for money, a really lovely atmosphere and I felt perfectly happy staying alone for work and dining in the pub/restaurant. Situated in a beautiful rural village with no road noise.

Pros:

Friendly, welcoming staff. Warm welcome atmosphere. Beautiful setting and a great breakfast.

Cons:

The bed was very sloped due to the floor being very uneven. The duvet was very thick and heavy ( would be perfect for the colder months) it wasn't a massive issue. We just removed the duvet from the cover. The cover was plenty warm enough for us.
