Confort sommaire qui ne m'a pas dérangé du tout mais qui pourrait déranger certains : eau froide (mais il fait chaud ici!!!), moustiquaires trouées (préparez vos produits anti moustiques)

Don’t expect a posh resort - safe landing is not that but it is a great location and they have good plans. However maintenance is needed and the owners know that and want to improve it. We met some great people whilst staying here- likeminded travellers who all swapped stories over meals

Leier hatte ich bed bugs im Raum und es wurde wenig dagegen unternommen. Allerdings habe ich in der ersten Nacht ein anderes Zimmer bekommen und bei der zweiten Nacht haben sie mich zu einer neuen Unterkunft auf eine andere Insel gebracht, nachdem ich beim zu Bett gehen erneut feststellte, dass sie immer noch da sind.

Our experience at Safe Landing Eco Lodge was completely unacceptable.

When we arrived, there was no running water and no bottled water provided. We were told to wash ourselves using a bucket of water, which is not what we paid for or expected from accommodation advertised to guests.

The room and bathroom were dirty and poorly maintained. There were stains, mould, rust, and obvious hygiene issues throughout the property. The photos speak for themselves.

To make matters worse, there was loud music, shouting, and drinking throughout the entire night by workers/family on the property. The noise continued into breakfast time, making it impossible to sleep or relax.

The overall cleanliness was shocking, and we even saw a rat come out of the kitchen area, which was the final straw.

And before anyone excuses this as an “authentic homestay experience” — it was not a homestay. This was advertised and sold as lodge accommodation. Basic hygiene, running water, cleanliness, and respect for guests are not unreasonable expectations.

This place felt neglected, unhygienic, and extremely unprofessional. I would strongly recommend avoiding this lodge unless major improvements are made to cleanliness, maintenance, guest facilities, and basic respect for paying customers.

Unfortunately there were bed bugs in the bed, and they tried to move us to nanuya island for one night in the middle of the night but since we didn’t agree they moved us in a home stay, not perfectly clean.
The bathroom wasn’t very clean.
The food was okay.

Komary, jeszcze raz komary. Niech coś zrobią z komarami, są metody, środki. Moskitiery w oknach są dziurawe.

-bungalows are run-down and dirty, especially the bathrooms and sink. Of course you don't expect a resort-level accomodation but cleanliness is not luxury and the place could have been easily cleaned within 15 minutes before our arrival
-personnel apart from Joe is not very friendly. The main purpose is making money. Everywhere else in Fiji we encountered nicer hospitality
-lunch and dinner are cheap but it almost always tastes like canned food. Little to no fruits
-the tours they offer are cheap but unreliable. Once we waited 1,5 hours for our tour to start, another time the snorkelling tour that should last 2,5 hours was just rushed through to spend time at the shop afterwards

The fan didn’t work but it wasn’t too hot in the night so it was fine.

The bed was very uncomfortable. There were no mosquito nets but holes in the window screens so we were getting bit at night. The food seemed of low quality. Several meals we had the protein was some sort of canned meat like Spam, as opposed to other places serving fresh fish. The staff was super friendly when you arrive and when you leave but not very warm in between (except for Joe). Asking for beers or having questions seemed to be an inconvenience. The kayaks are quoted here as $5FJD per stay, then told $20 per use upon arrival.

Beds

Although we knew this was an eco lodge, we were disappointed about certain things.
Our room had a hole in the terrace roof, a constantly leaking faucet (not very eco friendly), no lights beside a hanging construction light in the shower which is very dangerous as it fell on my friend.
All the prices we were told about beforehand for activities and rentals were wrong which made budgeting a bit harder. Additionally staff did not seem to communicate between themselves when organizing the activities (we asked one staff member to be dropped off at a specific beach and the captain was not aware of our request even though it had been approved). We did the reef hoping but did only 2 spots instead of 3 and also had no guidance as to safety, what to see, what not to touch, etc…
I also recommended bringing food and cash as a grocery trip / atm run costs 20$.
The on site bar had no drinks (except Fanta) but you can go to the nearby hotel to buy drinks, it’s unfortunate as I think it would make a great evening moment for everyone staying here.

Leider wurde das Bad und Zimmer, wie ich das wahrgenommen habe, nicht nachdem die Gäste gegangen sind oder wiedergekommen sind in einem Mehrbettzimmer geputzt.

It was comfortable enough no major complaints!
