Pros:

Great little hotel/pub. Amazing food and drinks. Rooms are comfy with a beautiful view. Staff were friendly and welcoming.

Cons:

Noise from the bar below was quite loud at times.

Not a lot

Cons:

Outside tatty. Room very small bathroom miniscule. Nowhere to put down clothes or wash bags. Property looked neglected Interior functional not comfortable. Breakfast poor no cereal no marmalade no fruit just normal fry up not hot or tasty nobody to talk about it. poor value for money. Stayed in much better premier inns for half the price

Y Giler Arms is what I would phrase a very traditional pub with accommodation that surpasses that of a traditional pub.
Pros:

It was clean, tidy and welcoming

Location and the bedrooms were clean

Cons:

The communal areas were grubby and dated and there were dogs in a neighbouring yard that barked from morning until night.

we would go again but only because of its proximity to the sailing club at LLyn Brenig
Pros:

Landlady was very pleasent, Very large car park

Cons:

"Private" bathroom Was not very private as we had to walk along the corridor past another room, stand on top othe staircase which led to outside door then open a fire door to get to the "private" bathroom
Beer garden was weed ridden

Female solo traveller felt safe and comfortable
Pros:

The location was easy to get to, the booking was straightforward and great value for money. I didn’t pay much in comparison with other options in the area, and yet it was exactly what I needed and very clean. Also, very importantly, I stayed here on my own as a 23 year old woman, arriving at night. Not once did I feel unsafe.
