Despite the location, wouldn't stay again
Pros:

Beds were comfortable, water was replenished in mini-bar, and the room was cleaned daily (towels, trash, etc.). Housekeeping was excellent. Location is good for Ville Haute.

Cons:

Asked for a quiet room for a weeklong stay - was given a room directly over the restaurant/bar, with live music three nights per week, where someone played the piano until 4 a.m. Communication at the front desk seemed poor; when I called at 3 a.m. to ask for a room change the next day, that was never conveyed; I had to ask again in the morning. There was a large noisy event at the city park the next night but no warning from staff. When I asked to borrow an iron because there was none in the room, that again was not conveyed and I had to ask again two days later. When I asked for an invoice on checkout - even though I'd been promised one by email - the front desk person said she normally wouldn't produce an invoice for booking.com clients - but she'd make an exception. Literally this meant pushing the "print" button on her computer.

The shower head had not been clean and the water was spraying in all directions.
Under the bed/night table was a polished stone. I believe for 5 stars everything should be in working order and nothing left behind from other guest.

Staycation with the wife
Pros:

We decided to eat the Sunday brunch and we found it to be excellent. It was perhaps the best brunch we have ever had. The selection of food was really superb.

Cons:

The spa area is already showing its age. I think it could use a good and thorough revamp.
