Passable
Pros:

The room was good and what I required for 1 night. I liked that I could have a meal there. The bed was comfortable and the room of good size.

Cons:

I found it annoying that I had to prove I had booked and prepaid for the room via booking.com. They had no knowledge of my booking. I would have rated the room higher but found there was no hot water at 6.00 am. I thought that the room was overpriced considering. Perhaps if pricing was lower there would be more people staying?

Great location, perfect for my needs, was slightly grubby, but I fully understood as was told workmen had recently vacat

Perfect location, 700m from Manawatu Canine Centre

Cons:

Was slightly shabby and dusty..
lady at check in neglected to tell me I could access drinking water, hot water etc
Second Lady was very helpful and showed me the kitchen in the second day.

Good spot in easy driving range to Palmy with a neat country style bar below.
Pros:

Great location, neat bar below, plenty of parking, great shower.

A lack of lighting to get from the car park to the stairwell.

Staff got me in my rm early was so grateful 🙏 beautiful food nice chef nice rustic country vibe lovely little break from the rush an bustle see the cows on the padd9ck across 😀 loved it .u need to have a beer with your meal I suggest it's a place u should buy a bit of booze at .

Literally only someplace to sleep
Pros:

It was near to where the guys were working.

Cons:

According to the staff members who stayed there, the rooms were filthy and had not been cleaned since the prior occupants. Even the toilets hadn't been flushed. They slept in their clothes on top of the beds.
There were no cafes or restaurants nearby.

Very adequate for what I needed.
Pros:

Had all the basics I needed, good kitchenette, very clean, unusual. Key was left where instructed.

Cons:

Restaurant not being open but there were good takeaways in the village. And good facilities to microwave, make toast with good cutlery and crockery.

It is basic and functional but lack of staff and cleanliness let them down
Pros:

It was close to the walking tracks at manawatu gorge

Cons:

There was no staff to let me in as the pub downstairs was closed, just keys hidden. The hallways needed to be vacuumed. It would be great to have a chair in the room to sit in as the only place to sit in my room was on the bed. The extractor fan in the bathroom didn't work. The last persons facecloth want removed from the shower

Neat historical building and nice and tidy
Pros:

Very local and handy for my weekend , really appreciated being able to have my show dog in the vehicle overnight

Cons:

No fan or aircon which for the price of the room was not ok, it was roasting hot all weekend.

Below average, could do better
Pros:

The location was good

Cons:

No amenities. No fridge, no jug for a coffee. Bathroom was crazy - you had to step over the toilet to get into the shower. Room had a bed and no chair. As there were no facilities (ie microwave) I went to go downstairs to the pub at 7pm on a Saturday and it was closed. Overall, very disappointing
