Breakfast choices disappointing.
Good location and comfortable bedrooms . Excellent break
Some of the public spaces and corridors are tired and would benefit from investment
The location is simply perfect! The hotel is very clean, stylish and has its own character. Our room was spacious and we had an excellent night's sleep – from the very comfortable mattress to the wonderfully quiet streets outside.
The outdoor terrace is absolutely lovely, and the restaurant and bar area is so cosy and inviting – exactly the kind of place that makes you want to sit down, relax and enjoy a glass (or two!) of my beloved Prosecco:)
A huge bonus for us was the hotel parking. There is an additional £10 charge, but honestly, this didn't disappoint us in the slightest. We were actually just happy to find a hotel right in the centre of Stratford with its own spacious, tidy and convenient car park.
We visit Stratford quite often for the Royal Shakespeare Company, which is literally just across the road, but this was the first time we decided to stay overnight. Without a doubt, we will be staying at The Arden again.
The only slight disappointment was my cooked breakfast. I ordered the salmon with scrambled eggs, which arrived without any vegetables, and I couldn't find any vegetables in the buffet area either. The scrambled eggs were quite bland and definitely didn't have the creamy texture I was expecting. I also had to go and find the bread and toast it myself. Luckily, once I'd made myself some toast with butter, I turned the salmon into a very tasty little breakfast sandwich 😄 And the mini croissants definitely made up for it!
Nice hotel, good location and comfortable bed/ room
Initial view of reception a bit ‘off hand’. Also charge for the car park was not indicated on Booking.com site
The location is perfect and the rooms are a good size. The staff are lovely.
The lack of USB sockets by the bed. The round pin plugs! The tables just outside our window- would ask not to be ground floor next time as we had to keep the blinds shut so the room was dark. Breakfast on the the last morning was chaos due to them running out of things and the kitchen being overwhelmed.
Initially disappointed with the climb to Reception on arrival and the very warm room. However, we were offered another room upon request which was much better.
The climb to Reception with our bags. Poor signposting from main entrance.
Everything was good
Goede locatie. Kamer comfortabel, groot.
Bed kan beter. Kluisje en frigo aanwezig.
Aangename ontbijtruimte.
Matras heeft een dekmatras nodig.
Good sized rooms. Friendly staff. Great location. Good parking.
The location is excellent being opposite the RSC. We had a lovely Deluxe Double room which was more like a Junior suite. Very spacious with a separate seating area and very impressive bathroom.
There were lovely little touches such as fruit on the coffee table and fresh milk in the fridge. We had dinner on one night and it was exceptional. Overall we cannot wait to return.
It’s not a dislike as the building is quite quirky in its layout but a lift would have been beneficial but the staff were extremely helpful in assisting.
We stayed at The Arden as we were going to see a show at RSC. Unfortunately we did not advise hotel that our mobility is not very good and we found the stairs a struggle. Staff advised if we had told them they would have found suitable room.
Proximity to RSC was excellent. Room very nice and clean and bed was extremely comfortable.
Breakfast was excellent as was pre-theatre supper. Staff very friendly and helpful..
Just the stairs but we could have avoided them if we had advised our mobility before our visit. However, slightly improved our fitness!!!!
The room, dinner and breakfast were all excellent.
The staff and service were exceptional!
Nothing was unlikeable.
Wonderful welcome from Bogna and her fellow receptionist. Our room was beautiful and spotless. Our restaurant servers were polite, helpful and friendly and the food was excellent. Special mention for the two women who brought our tray for our room service to Maple! It was a heavy tray! The car park and proximity to the RSC were great
Shame we had to leave
Food in general was excellent.
It would be helpful to have more and faster EV chargers.
