The hospitality! The staff! The people. The location it’s all 10/10
Artic rooms should have Ac, however they did give us portable fans that was very helpful.
Hôtel très bien situé à proximité directe de la gare et du départ pour le Gornergrat. Personnel efficace et d’une grande amabilité, que ce soit à la réception, au service d’étage et dans les différents restaurants. Chambre, à l’instar de l’hôtel, décorée avec beaucoup de goût et très bien équipée. À notre arrivée, des livres en français, récents et récompensés par un prix littéraire, avaient été placés en évidence. Délicate attention. Très bonne restauration (2 restaurants sur 3 testés), excellent petit-déjeuner.
Le bruit conséquent que font les portes des chambres en se refermant. A réveiller les plus gros dormeurs, lorsque certains clients rentrent tard ou partent aux aurores. Les chambres avec vue partielle sur le Cervin donnent sur la Bahnhofstrasse, malheureusement très bruyante jusqu’à tard le soir et dès très tôt le matin lorsque les touristes tirant leur valise se rendent à la gare pour prendre le premier train. Pour terminer, vraiment dommage que la superbe terrasse extérieure était fermée (fin mai, week-end de Pentecôte, température de 25 degrés). Malheureusement dans la veine de ce que Zermatt propose à ses touristes « sacrifiés » des mois d’avril et mai, lorsque bon nombre de remontées mécaniques (Sunnegga en ce qui nous concerne) et de restaurants d’alpage restent fermés, quelles que soient les conditions météo.

Great spot in Zermatt right near the train station and on the main street. You are close to everything. The Gornergrat station is very close as well and if you want a Swiss watch, almost every company is represented here. The staff was great and friendly. Breakfast was outstanding. We had a balcony room with a partial view of the Matterhorn. I highly recommend this hotel, especially if using the train for transportation.

Not being able to change my booking 60 days out from staying without losing my money
This is really a little hidden secret of a hotel. Hidden right across the street from the main Railway station, it is charming and warm from the moment you enter the lobby. The breakfast is amazing! Dinner was excellent too, and it is worth noting that the hotel's restaurant is Michelin-rated and serves incredible Argentinian-style food. Staff where amazing as well.
Through no fault of the staff, I originally booked a "Cozy" room, which was very small, so please keep this in mind when you are booking on Booking.com. Cozy=SMALL. The staff did fix the problem and placed me in a much better suite that I enjoyed.
