Pros:

Interesting and beautiful building though soek updating is needed.

Cons:

Beautiful restaurant but the food lets it down. The spare ribs with coffee sauce was so bitter that it was inedible. So was the tuna tartare encrusted in coffee - tastes terrible! Breakfast was much better.

Great, except dinner.
Pros:

Very beautiful boutique hotel on the outskirts of San Jose, close to the airport. It features coffee plantation worth visiting.

Cons:

While breakfast included in the price is very good, dinner is on top and everything we tried was kind of bland and definitely quite expensive. As there are no other dining options nearby, it’s a bit of a letdown.

Great entry point when arriving in Costa Rica 🇨🇷
Pros:

Most beautiful eco lodge on the outskirts of the capital. Very comfy rooms, amazing lush greenery, fantastic coffee plantation (tour is very interesting and the guide is super knowledgeable and speaks very good English), with super friendly staff. Beautiful views of San Jose.

Cons:

Restaurant on site for evening dinner is a bit pricey.

Traditional characterful place to start your costa rican journey
Pros:

Beautiful murals and decor of the Finca especially in the main house. Staff were friendly and really helpful with ideas for our trip. The transport driver was really helpful with advice for driving in costa rica.

One of the most unique and beautiful places we’ve ever visited!
Pros:

Wow! We stayed two nights at Rosa Blanca Finca and enjoyed every moment.

The staff are lovely. Andreas, the restaurant manager, shared the wonderful story of the finca and was a delight to chat with. The two servers, Andrea and Victoria, were both friendly and attentive. We had some great conversations with Andrea as well.

The food at the restaurant was phenomenal. The tenderloin was perfectly cooked, and the tuna ceviche with squash was so good we ordered it both nights. For lunch, the salads, beef and chicken burgers, ceviche, and yucca fries were all delicious. We tried chilera—a traditional Costa Rican hot sauce made with pickled vegetables and peppers in oil and vinegar—and it was delicious!

Our room, El Cielo, was magnificent: one of the most comfortable and quiet rooms, offering the best view of the valley. The bed was so comfortable with plenty of pillows and blankets provided. The jacuzzi tub and shower were both fantastic. The room provided plenty of hot water, fresh towels, and a French press with coffee. It was adjacent to the spa, making it easy to slip on my robe and enjoy a massage. Melissa was fantastic for the three sessions, and I had fun practicing my Spanish with her.

If we return to Costa Rica, I would stay at Rosa Blanca Finca again in a heartbeat!

Cons:

This hotel is on the higher end of the price spectrum, but it is definitely worth it. My only suggestion for the finca is that the included breakfast options should each come with fresh fruit and a choice of toast, tortilla, or granola/yogurt. These items are offered for an additional fee, but we have stayed at less‑expensive hotels that provided a better complimentary breakfast selection.

Great location for an early flight from SJO
Pros:

Close to the airport but felt like you were in the country as it was up a hill just outside the city.
Nice view over San Jose from the farm.
Very peaceful & tranquil setting.
Nice big secure carpark across the street from the main entrance.
The staff were very helpful & polite just like everyone we met in Costa Rica.

Cons:

The last road to the property was very narrow in places with large ditches at the sides.
We had to stop & reverse to squeeze by another car.
Approach with caution.
