Nice peaceful base for exploring Basel
Pros:

Lovely hotel in a historic building. Location was just on the edge of the city centre and it was easy to reach all the attractions. Good breakfast in a separate building next door with great views of the garden. There was also a little library on the floor where there were tea and coffee making facilities. And it's possible to borrow a wickelfisch from reception so that you can experience the great Basel tradition of floating along the Rhine.

Pros:

Wir hatten ein Problem mit der Hitze im obersten Stockwerk und es wurde eine Lösung gefunden das wir in ein kühleres Zimmer übersiedeln konnten!!!! Danke dafür

Sehr schön, aber keine Klimaanlage
Pros:

Sehr zentral, schöne Location mit Park drum herum, Nacht Check-In hat gut geklappt, sehr nettes Personal

Cons:

Keine Klimaanlage im Zimmer, was unterm Dach zu einer schlaflosen Nacht führte. Dafür ist es, finde ich, zu teuer.

Seit vielen Jahren unser Lieblingshotel in Basel
Pros:

Das Hotel liegt in einem sehr ruhigen Park mit alten Bäumen, nur weinige Gehminuten von der Altstadt und vom Rheinufer. Das neue Restaurant- und Tagungsgebäude ist ein Schmuckstück im weitläufigen Garten. Das Personal war immer sehr freundlich, kompetent und hilfsbereit.

La habitación no tenía ni aire acondicionado ni un ventilador de techo -pregunté antes de ir porque estábamos en ola de calor, 35 grados y me dijeron que había "Fan". No era cierto. Había un ventilador de mesa, con eso tuve que pasar toda la estancia de 4 días, de día y de noche...

Понравилось расположение отеля - недалеко от центра, и то, что он окружен небольшим собственным очень приятным парком. В парке есть столы и скамьи, где можно устроить пикник (или поужинать заказанной едой). номер был просторным и очень тихим. Можно погулять с собакой. В отеле очень чисто, высокие потолки, широкие коридоры. Сантехника в нашем номере была новая - видимо, недавно был ремонт, и сам номер в хорошем состоянии, все необходимое есть, для пары дней удобный. Постель удобная. Номер был на теневой стороне, поэтому в жару +36 было терпимо - на потолке был большой вентилятор, который тоже помогал справиться с жарой. Завтрак проводится в отдельном здании в парке, он довольно скромный по ассортименту, но все, что нужно, в принципе, есть. Парковка небольшая для такого отеля, но нам досталось место. Заселение очень быстрое, приветливая сотрудница ответила на наши вопросы по общественному транспорту. Дают карту для бесплатного пользования транспортом, это тоже очень удобно.

Cons:

Мы приехали в Базель посетить выставку, в эти дни отели в городе были очень дорогими, и этот - не исключение. Мне трудно оценить отель объективно по критерию цена-качество, потому что цена, очевидно, была выше обычной. Но я буду оценивать все же исходя из этой цены. Для нее завтрак мог бы быть побогаче: очень не хватало фруктов, ягод (миску с фруктами и салат я видела, но это совсем мало, все же это июнь, какие яблоки и бананы?). Показалось странным, что тарелки на завтраке размером с блюдце, а стаканы для сока - как стопки для алкоголя, какое-то неуважение к гостям, видимо, чтобы они ели-пили поменьше. В комнате скучный дизайн, какого-нибудь декора явно не хватает, глазу зацепиться не за что. Телевизор включается веселенькой музыкой при каждом входе в комнату (зачем?). В комнате нет кондиционирования, в жару +36 нам повезло оказаться с теневой стороны, иначе на солнечной стороне, даже несмотря на жалюзи, мы бы просто умерли, наверное (и еще наша собака очень плохо переносит жару, я не знаю, что бы мы делали). Жаль, что ресторан при отеле не работает вечером - в Базеле очень трудно поесть, вокруг отеля ресторанов нет, в центре все забронировано (и редко где хорошо), приходится есть где-то далеко (и без брони дорого и невкусно), либо что-то заказывать и сидеть в саду. Странная молодая сотрудница при check out - приветливая, но, рассчитав нас, уткнулась в компьютер, потеряв к нам интерес, пришлось самим спрашивать типа "Это все, можно идти? Спасибо, до свидания", она только "да-да", ни вопроса, понравилось ли, ни пожелания хорошего пути и слов прощания, ничего - редко такое встретишь.

Frühstück sehr gut, angenehme Atmosphäre im Frühstücksraum,
Wickelfische für Rheinschwimmen zum ausleihen 👍

Cons:

Im ersten Zimmer nur Bullaugen-großes Fenster, keine Klimaanlage, Außentemperatur 30-34 grad-keine gute Kombination!
Im nächsten Zimmer normales Fenster, dadurch in der Nacht eindeutig etwas kühler

Une bonne étape à Bâle dans un bel endroit historique
Pros:

C'est un lieu un peu atypique puisqu'il s'agit du bâtiment historique des Missions étrangères, toujours partiellement occupé par cette Mission, situé au milieu d'un magnifique parc, à deux pas de la vieille ville. Une société assure la gestion de la partie hôtellerie. La chambre classique double était très spacieuse, très propre, c'est simple mais efficace. Excellent petit déjeuner. C'est un endroit convivial, où on se sent bien. C'est plutôt très calme la nuit ! Et nous avons pu nous garer dans la parc, c'était inattendu !

Cons:

Semaine de canicule, et il n'y a pas de climatisation dans la chambre, mais nous n'étions là qu'une nuit pour cette étape à Bâle.
