Overnight stay on a great location in Stockbridge
Pros:

Olde Worlde pub on the river Test and High Street. Great food and drink options, comfortable room, great staff, excellent breakfast

Great location but service could definitely be improved.

Cons:

The service was very poor during check-in and dinner, especially for the price and that we were hotel guests. Instead, priority seemed to be given to other tables, leaving us having to go to the bar for our drinks and to collect food menus etc. not what I would have expected.
The rooms were nice (very hot but we did stay during the heatwave) but again, for the price, I would expect breakfast to be included - when we asked how much we were quoted £5.00 more than the booking.com email stated it would be so we decided to check-out early and went to a lovely cafe a few door down.

Good bed. Quirky. Noisy. Poor attention to detail.

Great bed - superb matress

Cons:

The room had a previous guests clothes in the wardrobe and rubbish in the bin (including dog food sachets). It felt like the previous people were due back any minute. Very uncomfortable.
We told the manager in the morning and he promised he’d look into and get back in touch with us but he never did. Very poor. We left in the morning and never heard from The Greyhound and it’s been weeks now.

This was our third stay and never dissapoints . Feels so relaxed ,great food and lots of nice little touches

It felt tired and in need to re-decoration. It wasn’t character, you can have character and still seem well looked after. This just felt tired and worn out in places.

outstanding comfort, breakfast, garden eats and drinks and above all all-round 5 star staff
Pros:

I loved the old history of the building and impressed with the comfort of the room, beds and lovely bathroom. The breakfast was outstanding and the customer service by various staff members was 5 star. So grateful you made a special trip just awesome.

Cons:

I accept the location is on the high street and comfort made up for that 100% . Room 6 still has tree views even with the roof top machine thingy's.

1 night only the pub was excellent
