Staff went over and above to make us feel welcome and nothing was ever too much trouble, not even durian! It certainly was value for money. We will stay again when next in Soc Trang.
Great location in the centre of everything. It's across the road from the Vincom shopping centre and a large supermarket, a 5 minute walk to the bus station if you're arriving or leaving by bus, and an easy Grab or Xhan SM/Green SM taxi ride to pretty much everywhere.
The staff were friendly and kind, and check in was quick and easy.
The room was small but really functional with a cupboard /shelving unit for luggage, a rail to hang clothes, and a mini fridge which I liked as it meant I could easily self cater breakfast and snacks, plus keep water cool.
The bed was firm but comfortable and the room also had a small desk and chair. Wifi was good and there was a lamp next to the bed so you didn't have to get up to turn the lights on and off. It's a small thing but it's a helpful convenience.
Wet bathroom which was well appointed and functional with steady hot water. Some toiletries provided (body wash, shampoo and a spare toothbrush) which was thoughtful.
The building has an elevator which is helpful if you have heavy luggage or any mobility challenges.
Soc Trang in general was a pleasant surprise for me and the hotel was great. I'd gladly stay again.
My only negative is that there's no curtain on the window. I was in room 302 and the window faced the stairwell so it was lit 24/7. Having a curtain would help darken the room for sleep. It's not a big deal and I didn't mention it to the staff at the time - I just used my sleep mask. But a curtain would be great.
