From the moment we stepped into the coach & horses we knew we had booked the right place. The hospitality and welcome was excellent. We were slightly early for check in but our room was ready and were shown by the man on reception who was very helpful. . As we walked through to our room up a flight of stairs, the smell of the diffusers was gorgeous, so much so I bought one as these are available to buy along with several other toiletries of the same scent which were in our room. After a long day travelling we popped down to the bar before getting ready for our evening meal and there were several locals at the bar having a good old natter and not once did we hear a swear word come out of any of their mouths. They obviously knew each other as in this quaint village everyone must know everyone and every conversation we heard was all in good fun and humour which made for a lovely atmosphere and they were all so friendly. We were served by a lovely, efficient girl behind the bar and for the short time in the bar we were made to feel so welcome. Our evening meal was exceptional and all the staff were very efficient. Slept like babies, the room was so comfortable and clean and more than enough space. Breakfast was plentiful and excellent. Couldn’t fault our stay if we tried! 🤗 thank you to everyone involved!

The property was what I was hoping for in a traditional English hotel / country pub. It was cosy, comfortable and had an inviting feel to it.
There wasn’t anything to dislike about the property.
Breakfast was good
Everything! Stunning large and very clean, air conditioned bedrooms with large bathrooms. Top class chef, the meals and breakfast were delicious. Staff welcoming, friendly and efficient. This is a real gem, close to Sandringham and west coast beaches.

The hotel decor was very up to date. The bathroom we had was very large. Everywhere was so clean, absolutely spotless. The staff were so friendly and very helpful. The food was also very good. It’s one of the nicest stays we’ve had anywhere. The location was very quaint.
The staff were very pleasant and welcoming. The evening meal was excellent....an excellent NZ Sauvignon Blanc. Modern decor. Plenty of parking. Air con in bedrooms!
Air conditioning throughout including room was wonderful especially now with the heatwave. Great for our dogs. Community playing field which can be accessed via the beer garden was great for sorting dogs before going out for the day and last thing at night
The breakfast was rather expensive unless you have some of everything. We didn't have fhe option of breakfast included when we booked
