Lovely place, great location
Nothing, was a lovely location
Parking available, good food available
Very hot and the window wouldn’t stay open so I had to hold it open either the bin
The location was great, with a very good and reliable bus service in and out of Liverpool city centre. The staff were very friendly and helpful, especially the manager, who took the time to show me how to use the EV charger in the car park. The bed and the room were very comfortable, even though the building was hundreds of years ago. The breakfast was excellent as well. Keep up the good work.
The staff made up for any shortcomings in the premises.
Location
Unable to open the window more than a couple of inches & the toilet needed lots of work to flush
Staff were friendly and location was great for a quick journey into Liverpool.
Although clean, the bathroom smelt of sewage and the toilet/sink appeared to connect to a maciator which was very noisy.
Location was central to visiting family without being in the city centre.
Nothing. It was was an old building and kept as it should be set alongside a lovely old church.
Friendly staff.
Room 4 needs attention from maintenance. The tap fittings were loose, the sink surround needs replacing, the hot water at best wasn't even luke warm
Room was spacious and very clean. Was in a fantastic location, 15 mins from Anfield. Staff were really helpful and the pub was fantastic
N/A
Clean comfortable room.
Only two teabags available, although plenty of milk.
Room was far too hot, the bars on the windows, screen in front of the window and the tie came on the window meant we could only open the window a tiny bit. The fan provided in the room was so poor, barely moving any air. The toilet wouldn't flush unless you pumped the handle 20 times. We couldn't sleep at all in room 1, outside was a cool 20 degrees, in the room was over 30 degrees.
Good sized quiet room
Bedside light didn’t work
The breakfast itself was a generous portion and good with vegan sausages
The toilet didn't flush, the sounds of the pipes of the other rooms was so loud it kept waking me up, there was no air conditioning and it was boiling hot in my room, there were hairs on my sheets, and dirt stains on the inside of the sheet. The breakfast was really nice and in many ways I'm glad I stayed there but it could have been much better for the price. It was particularly hot so maybe that's why things weren't up to standard but the room really needed a fan to cool it down. The TV also didn't work. The welcome could have been warmer. No shampoo or conditioner
Interesting historic pub/inn in a quiet residential area with a park opposite and easy access to the city centre. The staff were welcoming, and the breakfast was very good.
The decor was a little tired in places, but nonetheless clean and comfortable.
Location, friendly , helpful staff.
Unclean carpets, throughout. Noisy plumbing.
It is a nice, characterful place to stay. The area is quiet and has parking nearby. The staff were really helpful.
The lack of plug sockets, noisy water pipes and not enough hot water in the morning. I think this can't helped due to the age of the property.
Hotel was filthy, blood on the stairs and the room needed completely redoing and a deep clean. Didn’t sleep a wink due to noise. Had to pay a £20 early check in which was taken twice and a month later I am still trying to get a refund. After complaining I was offered an £20 refund which I anl still trying to get. Absolutely would not recommend.
Cannot say I liked anything.
