Beautifully appointed boutique hotel in the transit stop that is Featherston. Delightfully surprised how nice it was and great that you could also dine at Brac & Bow restaurant in the hotel, which had excellent food.
Being an older building could hear road noise (trucks braking) coming through the windows, and were also there on a windy night when there was a lot of banging and crashing outside.
Great refurbishment
Lighting to low to read a book.
No milk but that was ok cos no fridge either. I've never stayed in a room with no fridge.
This was our third stay. So quiet, a great place to rest and recuperate.
The breakfast menu is no longer available
An old pub really well renovated.
Great restaurant
Comfortable beds
This is a very well restored old coaching hotel with themed bedrooms and a great restaurant. The staff are very helpful and friendly, and the hotel is within a very short drive of Greytown, Martinborough and wine trails. Bedrooms are furnished with interesting period furniture and decoration. Though our room faced the main road it was not noticeably noisy at night.
In our room there was no space to be able easily to set up a laptop and deal with emails. There is no option for breakfast in house.
Quaint and quirky accommodation. Amazing food at the restaurant onsite
Nothing - would definitely stay here again
not much
room was too small
The hotel was clean and welcoming and the staff were amazing

Friendly staff, lovely decor and very clean rooms
Charming renovation, spacious room and bathroom. Historic. Featherston is small, so easy to walk to all the book festival locations and cafes.
All was good.
Good location. 2nd room allocated was comfy & clean.
Couldn't access the hotel for 2pm confirmed check-in as no staff onsite until 3pm. Initially allocated a dusty room over the loud kitchen generator but was eventually moved to a quieter clean room. Duty manager appeared determined to ensure hotel guests did not feel welcome which was uncomfortable to experience & observe.
Beautiful inside. The bed linens are so nice, loved the decor throughout.
The staff are super! So friendly and welcoming, also just really good at their jobs. Thank you!
The stairs are original, so they are pretty narrow. A bit difficult for us old people. But truthfully a minor detail. We’ll be back regardless of the scary stairs!
The room was absolutely beautiful and the amenities were perfect.
