Location and car park.
Though we only paid £70, the smell in the corridors was horrendous, the state of the carpets and decor was to put it kindly poor. And the fact that laundry was left in public spaces was not good.
The soap! Unlike many budget hotels this one has really good quality soap that actually does the job.
Close to amenities
Whole place stinks of mould , wall paper hanging of ceilings, bed mites, bath too high , would never stay here again !!!!
There was no one in the pub there was no atmosphere

It was ridiculously hot, no fault of the venue for the weather, but more aircon could have been provided.
Didn’t do breakfast. Location was good. Free car park but have to remember to put the car registration at reception.
Not finding the car park until we were told how to get there by the receptionist at the next hotel.
The simplicity of the room. Well furnished for my needs and my Hearing Dog for the Deaf, Honey. The staff gave me the heads up about their resident cats which was good. We only met one cautiously curious one. A white one called Nibbles.
I did give feedback that the hot water tap washer need replacing, and the shower head need descaling (not surprising in a hard water area, but these are extremely minor points.

Couldn't get the shower to stay at constant temperature but it didn't really bother me.
Bed comfortable and linen clean… really like the quirkiness of the place with a being such an old building
The bathroom for room 10 looks out over the car park with the shower directly in front of a clear window with no blind… felt like a flasher at points! There was rubbish in the bin from the previous occupant and on dropping my charger I bent down to pick it up and noticed a thick layer of dust on the skirting board next to the bed!
