Exceptional host. Useful , good value option near to Colombo en route to the south . .
Pros:

Asiri is exceptionally friendly and helpful . It was nice to stay in a family home . Communication was excellent for a last minute booking and the room was sufficient and a reasonable price for our needs . Air con worked well . The place was in a good location for us as we had busines to be in moratuwa for 1 night .

Cons:

Moratuwa itself probably isn’t a place you’d need to stop in for a long time so a basic room is sufficient .

Pros:

Owner is good and friendly.

Cons:

Not clean. Bedsheets were not clean at all. Once we asked, the owner was kind enough to change bedsheets and pillow covers. But the new bedsheets were also full of dust. Had sneezing throughout entire night. Worst experience.
Bathrooms were clean but the private bathroom is not attached to the room. Breakfast also not that tasty but satisfactory except for the quality of bread

Perfect stay
Pros:

Room was big, even we got access to the Kitchen, so I cooked. Big Hall to sit on sofa , Owner is very kind as he allowed early check-in, near to the railway station as well bus stand, near by good reasonable restaurant, yummy breakfast was complimentary. Nearby mall and beach.AC was working properly.

Cons:

Everything was comfortable.

The beds were good, plenty of drinking water, kitchen adequate, host accessible, very good sleeps.

That it had a great restaurant nearby.

Cons:

The toilet and kitchen had had a cursory clean. I think the host does everything and just didn’t have the energy. He should have left cleaning supplies out for us to do it- at least the next guests would have had clean toilets!

Pugtastic Stay!
Pros:

Very homely place. The pet pug was ADORABLE. I think his name was Rupert.

Better to find something else at a similar price
Pros:

Communication with the owner was excellent. The air conditioning worked.

Cons:

The room wasn't very clean. The bedding had a strange smell. The rug was so dirty that it was riddled with hairballs, nail clippings, bits of sand, and definitely other life forms. It was disgusting. The bed squeaked with every movement. All the furnishings were old. The terrace seemed never cleaned; someone's underwear had been lying next to the air conditioner for ages. The shared bathroom was large but dingy. Because it opened onto a sort of terrace, bugs were getting in. The reservation stated that breakfast was included. We didn't receive any.
