Je voelt je speciaal
Pros:

Direct aan de Wolds Way gelegen was deze locatie ideaal voor me! Het personeel was allervriendelijkst. De eigenares had moeite gedaan om mijn naam te onthouden en ik voelde me bij het dineren ook extra welkom daardoor. Ook kreeg ik korting op het diner omdat ik gast was in de inn. Ik voelde me bijzonder.

Cons:

Alles was tiptop in orde. Helaas hing er een vreemde lucht in de kamer (vocht?) Maar dat deed niks onder aan het verblijf.

It was an overall good experience but I’d say a change in the mattress is necessary.
Pros:

The staff was very friendly and the room was clean.

Cons:

The mattress of the bed was not comfortable and even the mattress topper didn’t help. Also, there was no ventilation in the bathroom.

A good base but limited local facilities
Pros:

It was very clean, staff were lovely, room was spacious

Cons:

The bed was small (a double) the shower leaked onto to the floor through the door, the pub doesn’t open during the day at all.

Pros:

Close to the village. Clean. Good evening meal.....enjoyed the steak.!! Good soup and garlic bread.

Lack of a flat enough cushion....I suppose I could have asked.

Welcoming, clean and good value.
Pros:

The manager and bar staff were very friendly and welcoming, and it seemed like nothing was too much trouble for them. The room was very clean though fairly basic, but that was reflected in the price. We ate in the restaurant and the food was cooked really well. although peas were the only vegetable offered.

Cons:

The bathroom had no fan/broken fan and so the bedroom and ensuite smelt quite damp. The bed was a bit too soft for me but that is a personal preference not a criticism.

Excellent place to stay!
Pros:

Really couldn't have asked for more! A warm welcome, an immaculate room with a very comfortable bed and a great pub as well. Everything was beautifully clean and the perfect resting place after a day of Golden Wedding Celebration.

Pros:

Staff were fantastic, and the food is excellent. Really clean and tidy room too. Would definitely stay again, only a short drive onto York too.

The bed was too soft for my partner, however I slept like a baby

All ok for short stay , when the pub is open , not so good on a long stay
Pros:

The location is in the middle of nowhere , there is a cafe 2 minutes up the road, and we had most of our meals there, very reasonable priced , and excellent food and staff , the service was excellent too, the park and ride into York town was very easy to use , we used it most days , very reliable, buses extremely clean , liked where the manor inn was situated as it was easy to get to other towns like Filey , Bridlington, and Scarborough

Cons:

No other pubs or restaurants in the vicinity, as the manor inn wasn’t open until the Wednesday. It stated that the rooms were soundproof but they are not , as we could clearly hear our neighbours, there was no fridge in the room ,we could not keep our milk cold for our cups of tea, there is a kettle in the room, but it would’ve been better if there was even a small fridge supplied , the owner had not put the Wi-Fi. Information in the rooms , but the information was displayed behind the bar , and for the cost of the stay I think breakfast should be included in the price we didn’t get any breakfasts , as the manor inn served them too late in the day , if you wanted to go out for the day somewhere, we won’t be returning

Great stay.
Pros:

Room names. Food and drinks were fantastic. Hospitality was great.

Cons:

Everything was perfect. It's a shame more people don't make use of this wonderful place.
