A real gem - lovely rooms and a great breakfast!
Pros:

We booked one night here in July after a (long!) day at Longleat as we were just looking for somewhere comfortable to sleep without facing a long drive. We ended up wishing we'd booked longer! The inn was fantastic from start to finish. Our host was friendly and very accommodating (we arrived a little later than planned) and made us feel very welcome. Our rooms were beautifully decorated, spacious and very comfortable and there were lots of little touches (nice tea/coffee facilities, fresh milk and cold water/juice in our fridge and powerful fans which we really appreciated given the heatwave!)
We didn't eat at the inn in the evening, so can't comment on dinner, but breakfast was fantastic (great selection and high quality) - it set us up perfectly for the day. It's also only a short drive from Stonehenge and we would love to come back and spend longer exploring the area - it's on the list for next year's road trip!

Cons:

Everything was top notch !

Excellent as always. This is our third stay here and we are never disappointed.
Pros:

Excellent breakfast as always.

Cons:

Just a suggestion it would be nice to have some yogurt available at breakfast to go with the Granola/Muesli

Ländlich und idyllisch, schöner Garten und Terrasse, kostenfreie Parkplätze in grosser Anzahl, schönes Frühstück

Cons:

Man ist auf das Auto angewiesen, da man doch leicht abseits liegt, aber das weiss man ja beim buchen ;-)

Friendly, well appointed pub makes for a perfect weekend away.
Pros:

Small, friendly pub with great food set in beautiful countryside and with a lovely garden, made very characterful with an extremely well kept and attractive vegetable garden as well as a beautiful tree. The rooms are brilliant; modern, large bed comfortable bed, great shower and a fridge with milk, juice and coffee/tea. Everything catered for. Best of all were the wonderfully friendly staff who made us feel welcomed and looked after the whole weekend. Also close to Frome and Bath.

Cons:

Only that I wish the windows opened wider as the weather was so hot. Otherwise no bad points at all.

A hot stay!
Pros:

The location was good. It is a beautiful old building that has been restored to a high standard with a lovely outside area.

Cons:

There was no airflow in the bedroom and you couldn’t open the window fully to improve this. The extreme heat in the room made it impossible to sleep. The tv didn’t work because of poor signal and pixelated after minutes even when reset.

Great place, stylish decor and good food, off the beaten track.
Pros:

Location was wonderful in a little hamlet off the beaten track wit h distant views to the White Horse
Large well kept garden and terrace in the rear of the property.
We have recommended to friends who have a dog (even though we don't have one) and they are going to book a stay as a a very dog friendly place.
Staff were lovely and one even kindly produced a hay fever tablet for our Granddaughter who was suffering quite badly for which she was grateful.

Cons:

Our only negative was the bathroom door which was a wooden sliding one and didn't close properly as it appeared to be off it's track.
Ok for couples maybe but not for friends sharing a room.
I'm sure it would be easy to adapt or change.
