FT6 Aldgate Apartments

This property is a complete and dangerous misrepresentation of the listing. I booked the penthouse, and it was an absolute nightmare from the very start.First, the check-in process was unacceptable: I had to collect the keys from a completely different building across the street in the dark, and the locks on both the main door and the room door were almost impossible to open.The listing explicitly stated there was an elevator. This was a lie. I had to drag heavy suitcases up a dangerously steep, narrow, and rundown staircase. The building's common hallway is in an appalling state, with visible holes and breaks in the walls, scuffed surfaces, and a strong smell of cigarette smoke. It felt completely unsafe, especially for a solo female traveler.Inside the room, the walls were damaged and scuffed. The window blinds were broken and could not be closed. Since the room faces a busy street, there was zero privacy — passersby could see straight inside, and bright streetlights shone directly into my face all night. To make matters worse, the apartment was extremely hot, with no air conditioner and there was absolutely NO hot water in the shower.The host refused to cooperate or issue a refund. I felt unsafe, so I checked out immediately after the first night. Save your money and your nerves — stay away from it!

Just the stairs leading up could be looked at, as they felt slightly spongey and a bit scary.

it is in the highest floor, if you are holding large luggage which you need to walk all the way stair up. The sound proofing not that great.

La segunda noche cuando llegamos al alojamiento no había luz ni en las habitaciones ni en el baño... Intenté ponerme en contacto con el responsable pero nadie me contestó, a día de hoy no he obtenido respuesta!

Sharing facilities with others that don't clean up or empty full bins

On a busy road, not greatly soundproofed. Builders working outside.

Loud guests came in late, tried to get into my room so must have been drunk. Didn't feel like the safest place I'd ever stayed.

Room - like many previous guests have mentioned - was unbearably hot. No way to fix it, so windows had to stay open along with fans on - increased road noise then, obviously.

A veneer of a bathroom, as handles fell off and were taped on, no toiletries, towel fell apart after one use.

Esperienza vergognosa. Abbiamo prenotato e confermato il soggiorno a gennaio, pensando di essere tranquilli. Invece, l'host ha avuto il coraggio di scriverci per disdire alle 00:30 del mattino del giorno stesso della partenza, lasciandoci a piedi poche ore prima del check-in. Si sono dimostrati totalmente inaffidabili. Gestione caotica: prima dichiarano il tutto esaurito in 19 proprietà, poi offrono soluzioni alternative in zone totalmente diverse senza fornire foto o garanzie. Un comportamento del genere rovina le vacanze delle persone. Statene alla larga se non volete trovarvi senza un tetto nel cuore della notte.

Tout d'abord le propriétaire nous a informé la veille par mail qu'on serait logé ailleurs. A l'heure ou l'on devait récupérer l'appartement à la nouvelle adresse, on nous a demandé d'aller récupérer les clés à l'agence commerciale à 1km d'ou nous étions sans nous dire qu'il s'agissait des clés du FT6 (appartement initial), bref l'organisation et la communication ne furent pas engageants. Les stores à lamelles de la chambre ne sont pas occultants ce qui est dérangeant la nuit, sans oublier le bruit de la rue. Il faisait trop chaud dans la chambre et pas de possibilité de diminuer le chauffage. pas de torchon dans la cuisine, ni de pastilles L-V et nous avons dû nous laver 2 verres et 2 tasses derrière les occupants précédents.

De drukte van de zeer levendige wijk was voor mij een tegenvaller. De nachtrust was daardoor een stuk minder. Het onderhoud van het appartement kan beter.
