Our stay was perfect. Would stay there again.
Pros:

The good at the breakfast is very good. The location was amazing and perfect for our stay. Very easy and pleasant. The staff were nice and went above and beyond to make our stay great.

Cons:

Sodas ordered at bar were very expensive

Cons:

The shower didn’t work at all and the customer service number from room went to voicemail. They offered a small number of Hyatt points but they didn’t appear in my account, and I called a couple times and they still haven’t appeared.

The hotel was sufficient for our needs but not 4 star quality.
Pros:

The location was great and we were able to park for free on the side street which was a bonus. Million, the person who carried our luggage to our suite was wonderful and so friendly. Our maintenance worker was also so friendly when we had issues with our air condition. He brought us a portable air condition in addition to waiting for our unit to cool off. The hotel was close to the metro and convenience to the sites, restaurants, etc.

Cons:

The room was tight and so small and hard to move around. There was not enough hooks to hang our towels. The shower situation was awkward. There was no door which means that there was no privacy to use the sink while another person was taking a shower. Also, the shower head could not be adjusted and the water came out fast and hard. We did not like the fact that we had to pay an additional $35 fee each day for services we did not use ie. discounts for various things, 2 water bottles a day. A waist of money in my opinion. Water is not that expensive! Another issue is that when we asked about information on the July 4 activities, nobody seem to know anything. We were prompted to check our phone and look for ourselves. I think that this hotel should provide pamphlets on sites and have beforehand knowledge to share about special events happening, when we have questions about things to do.

Pros:

The staff were very attentive and very helpful. I do wish there were more of an option for food and lunch. It would have been nice to have the Surveyor open for more of an intimate lunch or dinner option. As far as lunch, there is no option in this hotel, you have to venture out to other places, which wasn't bad.

Friendly staff, beautiful clean hotel, convenient to the metro and restaurants.
Pros:

We didn't take partake in the breakfast.

Cons:

We didn't have access to an ice machine for our beverages, so we requested some ice to be brought to our room. The refrigerator didn't really keep the beverages cold. Also, the pressure of the shower and sink was inconsistent. We used the shower in the late evening, which should not have caused lower water pressure; it was not used during busy hours.

My stay at the Thompson was great & will be my go to hotel to stay while I visit DC. going forward!
Pros:

Jennifer the clerk was amazing. Jennifer was very accommodating to my needs. She place me ina room that fully exceeded my expectations. I can wait to come back to visit and to stay at the Thompson once again.

Cons:

N/A The hotel is amazing. It located ina great spot for walking to get to whatever you need. The subway train stationis just a bloack away.

Spanking new hotel with a nice vibe
Pros:

Hotel is new. Rooms and public spaces have lots of natural light. Attractive area near the baseball stadium. I ate dinner on the hotel bar and the roast chicken was to die for.

Cons:

Nothing to dislike.

What a beautiful hotel! This is truly an experience!!

As soon as you walk in, the scent is absolutely wonderful. I loved having the restaurant there for breakfast in the morning with our complementary breakfast.
