Great location to explore Istanbul old town. Staff were super friendly and helpful.
This is my 3rd time staying at this hotel. The staff are very professional and friendly. The hotel’s location is great, especially for first-time visitors. The breakfast is good, and the rooftop is a nice place to chill and have a drink.
We got a standard room. Although the bed was comfortable, the material of the throw blanket was quite rough and should be replaced with a simple, softer blanket.
The bathroom also lacks proper ventilation and needs to be renovated or treated with an anti-mould product. The moisture has damaged all the grout in the shower as well as the ceiling, which doesn’t feel very healthy.
Hotel położony w odległości kilkuset metrów od głównych punktów do zwiedzania , w odległości 100m trasa tramwajowa T1 , niesamowicie uprzejma i pomocna obsługa hotelu od serwisu sprzątającego po Panów z recepcji w szczególności Pan Berzan który pomógł nam z transferem i rzeczami osobistymi które pomógł nam zanieść do auta zaparkowanego kilkaset metrów od hotelu , rzadko spotyka się nawet w najlepszych hotelach tak empatyczną a zarazem profesjonalną obsługę , świetna baza wypadowa , świetny hotel.

La ubicación es perfecta. Cerca de todo! Estuvimos en una habitación familiar con lo que contábamos con 2 dormitorios y 2 baños. Muy cómodo. La habitación principal es exterior con un balcón y la otra tiene una ventanita a un patio de luces. Es un poco antiguo pero todo está cuidado y muy limpio. El desayuno está correcto. Tiene una terraza donde tomar algo con unas vistas espectaculares al mar, al puerto y la Mezquita Azul. El personal es muy amable y está pendiente de ayudarte. Mi hijo se encontraba mal y le subieron té a la habitación. Se cuidaron del transporte entre el hotel y el aeropuerto a un buen precio. Lo recomiendo y volvería sin dudarlo.
Quizá le pondría algo más de iluminación a la habitación que queda interior. No es que sea imprescindoble pero la haría más agradable
The staff at the hotel were very helpful. My friend and I had both booked the Aprilis Hotel at the same time through Booking.com. However, there are 3 Aprilis Hotels in Istanbul and Booking.com had booked us into different properties. However, the staff in the two hotels were able to sort out the booking so that we were both in the Aprilis Gold. I know nothing about the Aprilis Special Character hotel other than the staff kindly moved me to the other hotel.

This hotel was in a perfect location, 5 minute walk from the blue mosque and lots of shops and restaurants. Ibrahim and all the staff were amazing and couldn’t do enough for you. I would highly recommend and will definitely be going back
Location was excellent. 5 min walk to Blue Mosque and Grand Bazzar, most attractions in old town are within easy walking distance. Plenty of restaurants around and a super market next door. 15 min walk(uphill) from airport shuttle bus stop in old town. friendly staff.
First we got a rather dark room with 1 double bed and a single bed with no view. Then they were nice to change our room with sea view next day. Seaview room was bright , but very small and no room to place a large suitcase open.(but still better than the first room).
Terrace is only open 11am to 11pm when the bar is open. It would be good if you can access the terrace with nice view 24 hours.
Breakfast was served at basement level, so no view.
The hotel offers a good Turkish breakfast. It is well located for walking to all the sights in the old city.
The rooftop bar is nice at the end of the day and does have a good view.
Rooms are quite small but adequate considering the low tariff.

Excellent location, no need to use car or taxi to visit most of the famous attractions of Istanbul. Many restaurants just across the street.
Breakfast is excellent with many typical Turkish options of food.
The staff is another level, very friendly and helpful with anything you may need.
The room was clean and comfortable. But there was an issue with the AC that did not cool down the room. I have asked for help and they did nothing but come to my room and try to adjust the temperature using the remote. But I’m sure that the problem was in the external unit.
The shower also has a problem with the water valve.
So, the hotel needs better maintenance
Das Personal dort ist super freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das wussten wir sehr zu schätzen, vor allem da wir zum ersten Mal Istanbul besucht haben. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Frühstücksbüfett war auch sehr lecker. Ich denke, dort kommt jede Nation damit gut zurecht. Die Rooftop ist absolut einen Besuch wert. Man kann dort sehr gut sitzen und hat eine gute Aussicht. Desweiteren war die Nähe zum Grand Basar und zur Blauen Moschee, Basilika Zisterne etc. super. Das Hotel liegt wirklich zentral, auch Nahe der Straßenbahn. Auch ein Supermarkt ist ganz in der Nähe. Restaurants und Geschäfte sowieso.
Es gibt nichts, was uns nicht gefallen hat.
Le petit déjeuner était très bien, le personnel à l'accueil très sympathique mais...ne trouve pas toujours la monnaie en euros....
Très décus de la chambre, la fenêtre donnait sur un mini passsage où étaient entassés de vieux cartons , bref , une vue directe imprenable sur le mur délabré de l'autre batiment,(voir photos prises de la fenêtre de notre chambre) un verre à eau pour 2, 1 verre à dents pour 2,1 table de nuit (chambre tellement petite que on avait du mal à passer de l'aure côté du lit), un couvre lit en guise de drap ou couette, les fils du sèche cheveux dénudés, téléphone non branché(, c'était possible en tirant très fort sur le câble)...plus un réduit qu'une chambre mais très propre....L'équipement de la salle de bains minimum(flacon hair conditionner vide, shampoing, savon douche et un petit peu de papier toilette)
