Fantastische ervaring! Het prachtige domein, de mooie kamer, de rust en het schitterende uitzicht maakten ons verblijf onvergetelijk. Hoewel de tocht naar het hotel als buitenlander wat uitdagend was, was het absoluut de moeite waard. Een extra pluim voor het personeel: van de nachtwacht tot het keukenteam, iedereen was uitzonderlijk vriendelijk, professioneel en behulpzaam. Een echte aanrader! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The grounds and the staff were amazing.
The rooms were not value for money as we did not get what we asked for. The wallpaper was hanging off the walls. There were dust everywhere in the room..

Staff very obliging and helpful. The garden was well maintained although the drive could do with the bushes being cut back. Fascinating history and lovely garden and outlook.
It seemed understaffed with one person waiting on tables and working behind the bar and still smiling!! The place had an air of ruin about it and had a Fawlty Towers vibe. We heard from a local that it had been a lovely venue in the past. We couldn't get the shower to work but was told that it worked fine - there seemed to be a bit missing on the lever and no instructions.

The staff we very helpful and friendly. We had a lovely dinner which was reasonably priced, good quality and generous portions. The hotel is in a lovely location and is a short drive to Exeter.

Set in Beautiful surrounds
Outside temperatures were 30 degrees, they did provide fans but the rooms were extremely hot. A lot of stairs, no lift or help offered with cases. Hotel needs need a little TLC, redecorating, new matress on bed
Does it's job. Clean sheets. Clean toilet. Sufficient parking. Staff were good.
It was 30°C and the windows will only open slightly. It was very hot and stuffy. We took two rooms. One room had a fan that didn't work well. They could not replace it with a better one
Peaceful, picturesque location
Room really hot and very noisy day and night. Couldn't have the window open because of the noise. Only 1 small fan provided for 2 beds, they were unable to provide another despite saying they could in the guest information directory. Would not change room either. Unhelpful staff. My daughter ended up sleeping on the bathroom floor, as it was marginally cooler!
