Upali's Place

Upalis place is in the most beautiful location, up in the hills above kandy lake. It is quite serene and so peaceful. It took us 2 minutes to walk to the famous view point which was stunning. It was about a 7-10 minute walk down to main kandy town. Definetly worth staying here to still be near the centre but not be overwhelmed by the chaos. The owners were charming, lovely and really genuinely friendly. We really really enjoyed our stay here, so much so that we attempted to extend by one night! It was a lovely place to visit :)

Beautiful, cozy, clean and confortable room! Also they have a small nice terrace, so even when it is raining you can enjoy being outside. Upali and Margrat are very kind people, they welcomed me very warmly. Thank you once again 🙏 The homestay is closed to Music restaurant and near the city center so it is well located. I recommend this place.

The localisation is perfect ! The place is clean, people who rent the place are super nice, there is a good restaurant in front, the garden is beautiful. Everything was perfect.

I had such an amazing stay and truly can't recommend this place enough! From the moment I arrived, Ma'am and Sir made me feel like part of their family. They treated me like their own daughter, and I am so grateful for their incredible hospitality, kindness, and generosity. Their friend was also wonderful company, and spending time with all of them made my stay even more special.

The room was absolutely amazing—spotlessly clean, cozy, comfortable, and equipped with everything I needed. Every little detail was thoughtfully taken care of, which made me feel right at home.

The taxi service was also excellent. My journey was very safe and smooth, and the car was in excellent condition. I truly appreciated the care taken to ensure I traveled comfortably.

Thank you all for making my stay so memorable. I will always remember your warmth and kindness, and I can't wait to come back. Sending you all lots of love—take care, and see you again soon! ❤️❤️❤️🫶🙏🏻

Good place on the hills just outside Kandy.

This is a lovely, simple room with a nice patio and great hosts. It was particularly handy that there was a tea kettle and dishware. There is only one unit, but it is separate from the family's home so it is very private. Note that the photos of the view are not from the patio, they are from the view point that is very close by.

Tolle Lage, in 13min im Zentrum von Kandi und man sieht den grossen weissen Buddha von der Terrasse aus. Super lieber Host!

Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis war super. Das Zimmer war sehr sauber und der Besitzer sehr freundlich.

We loved the location of this place, close to the Kandy viewpoint. There is a bar/restaurant opposite which has a lovely view across the town. The owner and staff were helpful, we enjoyed our stay.

J'ai été accueillie par une femme adorable avec café et petits gâteaux. Kandy est accessible à pieds (15min environ). La chambre est annexe à la maison, avec son accès. Elle est très propre. Le wifi est excellent. Il n'y a pas de climatisation, mais le ventilateur est suffisant.

Stanza pulitissima, forse una delle migliori incontrate in tutta la vacanza. Posizione leggermente lontana dal centro, ma proprio per questo estremamente tranquilla e sicura.
