Pros:

I've stayed here before so knew what to expect. I had a nice meal in the evening. Quiet room and comfortable. Good location for breaking up my long journey.

Good place to break our long journey
Pros:

Village pub which is clearly centre of the community. Outside of the pub is very rundown but inside the bedrooms were clean and fresh. Tea/coffee facilities provided. Very friendly staff. Good value beer in the pub. Bar area dog friendly

Cons:

Whist the pub says it’s dog friendly; this doesn’t extend to the rooms sadly; apparently in case other people are allergic to them (in which case you couldn’t go in the pub full stop as dogs allowed there). Very limited food menu in the pub and the (only non-frozen option) of ham was not available. Instant coffee at breakfast.

An uncomfortable stay and definitely not value for money.
Pros:

Handy location for us. Pleasant staff.

Cons:

The bar didn’t close until 1pm and customers were very noisy so we couldn’t get to sleep. The room was exceptionally hot and we were unable to adjust temperature or open window.
The bed had a slightly strange odour.
We were informed no breakfast was available when we arrived.

Pros:

We stayed at the Royal Oak for one night while attending the Cheltenham races, and we had a great experience. The staff were very friendly and welcoming from the moment we arrived. Our room was clean, comfortable, and well-kept, which made our stay really enjoyable. Overall, we were very happy with the stay and would definitely consider coming back again

Welcoming staff, clean, comfortable room. We ate in there and we can recommend the ham, egg & chips!
Pros:

The bedroom was very spacious and very clean. We had a comfortable bed with crisp white sheets and towels. There was plenty of tea/coffee etc.

Nothing really not to like!

Lynn and her staff were excellent- nothing was too much trouble and we were made to feel very welcome.
The breakfast was delicious and hearty. The rest of the food was basic but tasty.

Bed but no breakfast!
Pros:

It was a friendly pub. The bar food was good.

Cons:

I chose the pub for its location and good breakfast reviews. However when I arrived I was told no breakfast would be available and by then it was too late to make alternative accomodation arrangements.
