Pros:

Die Lage am Strand ist unschlagbar. Der Strand ist gepflegt und die Strandbar mit einem Reggae/ Bob Marley Motto ist liebevoll gestaltet.

Cons:

Die Zimmer sind unterirdisch. Das Bad mit verrosteten Amaturen. Ablageflächen von denen nur noch die Halterung übrig ist. Für die Betten gibt es keine Decken, was ja bei den Außentemperaturen prinzipiell ein nachrangiges Problem darstellen würde. Allerdings war die Fernbedienung der AC defekt, welche konstant auf frostige 19 Grad temperierte. Für 3 Personen gab es ein Handtuch, was über 3 Tage nicht getauscht wurde. Nach 3 mal Nachfragen konnte man sich dazu durchringen am letzten Abend noch ein paar Handtücher auszuhändigen. Der Service ist miserabel. Wir sind wirklich nicht verwöhnt, aber über 1 Stunde auf das Frühstück zu warten oder genau das zu bekommen was man nicht bestellt hat, war spätestens an Tag 3 nervig. Klopapier gab es eine Rolle. Da das einheimische Curry für eine zügige und unvollständige Verdauung sorgte, stellte das meine Sauberkeits- und Hygieneansprüche auf eine „harte“ Probe. Der Preis ist hoch…und in dieser Preisklasse sollte man erwarten das Zahlung mit Kreditkarte möglich ist. War nicht der Fall. Mussten am ATM große Bargeldmengen abheben. Muss man echt wissen, ob man das will.

Cons:

Alors, premièrement l’hôtel est complètement à l’abandon délabré.
Ensuite les chambres, en elle même la chambre est passable malgré une odeur de tabac froid dès que nous entrons. La salle de bain est une autre histoire de la moisissure de partout, tout les soirs des grenouilles sont dans notre douche (alors je n’ai rien contre les grenouilles mais pas dans ma douche si possible) nous avons aussi eu la visite de cafards.
Maintenant le personnel, ils sont accueillants mais ne soyez pas DU TOUT pressé pour quoi que ce soit une bouteille d’eau une demande à papier toilette ou encore le Check out.
En ce qui concerne le check out nous avons tout d’abord attendu 40 minutes pendant que notre taxi attendait.
Et quel fu notre surprise quand j’ai vu que notre réservation booking avait était annulé, nous avons ensuite était forcé à payer un cash qui vont se suivre de frais de booking car nous nous ne sommes “pas présenté à l’établissement” et pour sûrement rien déclaré par la suite.
Dès que j’ai eu le malheur de lui expliquer la situation à propos d’argent, le gérant a tout de suite commencé à parler de manière peu approprié à me demander “tu te crois dans ton pays” ou à me traiter de voleuse alors que je lui demander seulement pourquoi ma réservation était annulé.
Par la suite en partant mon amie a porté tout les sac devant lui pas un coup de main pas un au revoir rien.

We had an amazing stay at happy beach hotel !. The location is absolutely stunning ,situated rights by the beautiful beach and you can see the ocean as soon as you step out of the room. The staff were exexceptionaly friendly and alway ready to help us with anything we needed .The rooms were clean ,comfortable and the food was simply delicious . everything about our stay was wonderful and we would love to visit again..❤☺️

Tranquil amidst a lush garden right at the beach
Pros:

A tranquil place amidst a lush garden perfect to enjoy the beach in sweet idleness. The staff was very sweet and attentive, the food was basic but yummy with attention to small details. A perfect low-key hangout for everyone enjoying the beach life in its pure and simple form. We'll miss this place and the lovely people. Thank you and hopefully see you again next year!

Pros:

This place is simply amazing! So beautiful place for stay there several days. Wonderful beach. Amazing people caring about us all the time. Dinners on the beach with candles amazing food and especially feeling true nature there. Its beach hotel absolutely what we looked. I really recommend it also for people with children because we have 5 years old daughter and she can running there everywhere. Also in the sea is safe because there is no deep water. We visited island also from there and we saw sea turtles and sharks. We spent there amazing time and we will definitely come back. We felt there like in home because everyone was friendly and they been like our family.

Personal aggressiv bei Stornierung!

Buchung nicht wahrgenommen und, wie uns Booking erlaubte, kostenlos storniert. Bei der Absage wurden wir aggressiv behandelt und fast eingesperrt.

Cons:

Wir kamen gegen 15:30 Uhr an. Der Eingang war verlassen und wenig einladend, Personal mussten wir zunächst suchen. Nachdem uns ein Mitarbeiter das Zimmer gezeigt hatte, entschieden wir, die Buchung im Rahmen der bis 18 Uhr möglichen kostenlosen Stornierung zu stornieren. Daraufhin wurde der Mitarbeiter laut und aggressiv. Er verlangte, dass wir sofort mind. eine Nacht bar bezahlen, obwohl wir bereits storniert hatten. Er schrie uns an, zeigte mehrfach den Mittelfinger und drohte sogar, das Tor zu schließen, sodass wir das Hotelgelände nicht verlassen hätten können. Erst nachdem unser Taxifahrer vermittelt und auf Booking die kostenlose Stornierungsregelung gezeigt hatte, konnten wir gehen. Ein absoluter Albtraum – eine Situation, die beinahe einen Polizeieinsatz erforderlich gemacht hätte.

Happy Beach Hotel the location is one of the most fantastic comfortable most relaxing locations you will ever experience where the staff are exceptional and making you happy they are there for you every need and go above and beyond every single day happy beach Hotel though the hotel rooms are old and rundown, the staff managed to keep them very clean and tidy at all times they’re constantly working hard Heat of the day to make sure your day is the most pleasurable and relaxed times. I spent one week at the happy beach now and we have done five star somewhere else and I can only say I wish I was back at the happy beach beachfront bar and staff is just out of this world. They don’t ask for anything and give you everything. I would happily come and stay there time after time after time and indeed make it my whole holiday vacation stay in the future you can’t beat Com and enchanted atmosphere but it provides staff are amazing. The location is amazing. The local people are amazing as far as safety is concerned you are totally safe. Staff work highly improve what they have to make you feel at home couldn’t be more happy and indeed I will be returning next year and for many years to come both myself and my wife which we were still there and not in this fire Toll hotel that we moved to that says it all if you can get past the fact that the rooms are a little old and tired and the father you’re just sleeping there everything else at the happy Beach provides is out of this world. I’ll say that again remember it’s out of this world it’s Paradise total Paradise and I love each and everyone of the members of staff that are there.

Mooie locatie aan het strand, super vriendelijk personeel en ontzettend lekker eten. Zeer uitgebreid ontbijt! Ze waren super behulpzaam en zorgzaam.

Cons:

Aankomst is echt even schrikken, entree ziet eruit alsof het hotel al jaren falliet is. Kamers erg basic en veel incompleet (geen warm water, afstandbediening airco afwezig, stinken en ongedierte in badkamer). Personeel maakte veel goed, we hopen dat ze de boel snel kunnen opknappen en de kamers dagelijks gaan poetsen.

The staff were super friendly and welcoming. They treated us like family and made sure we had everything we needed.

The rooms were clean, spacious and very comfortable. The bed was so cozy, AC worked perfectly, and the bathroom was spotless. But the best part? Waking up to a beautiful ocean view. Every morning with that sea breeze and sunrise was just perfect.

The food was fresh, delicious and full of variety. Breakfast had everything from local Sri Lankan dishes to continental options, and it was amazing. Dinner was also great with fresh seafood. Every meal felt like a new experience.

The locationis unbeatable. Right on the beach side - we could just step out and feel the sand, hear the waves, and watch the sunset. It was so peaceful, relaxing and truly felt like a home away from home.

Definitely worth every penny. We had such a good time and we will 100% come back again!

Die Lage ist einfach ein Traum. Der Strandbereich wirklich toll gestaltet. Die jungen Männer haben das alte Hotel jetzt in der ersten Saison übernommen und in den Strand investiert. Man kann dort den Tag verbringen und genießen. Das Essen ist wirklich lecker und günstiger als die anderen Restaurants in direkter Strandlage. Abends werden die Tische direkt ans Wasser gestellt. Auch die Cocktails sind großartig. Den Passionfruit Cocktail aus frischer Frucht muss man probiert haben. Man kann viele weitere Restaurants erreichen, wenn man das möchte und ein toller außergewöhnlicher Souvenirshop mit echtem Kunsthandwerk ist direkt die Straße runter, der Krokodilteich und die Lagune auch nicht weit. Den Strand runter gibt es viele Tauchschulen und Schnorcheltouranbieter.
Zurück zum Happy Beach. Wir haben die jungen Männer als herzlich und freundlich, hilfsbereit und zuvorkommend erlebt. Mit unseren Kindern waren sie ebenfalls toll. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt.

Cons:

Die Zimmer sind sehr einfach und in die Jahre gekommen. Uns war das egal. Der Preis ist für die direkte Strandlage und den teureren Strand in Ordnung. Man ist eh den ganzen Tag draußen. Unser Zimmer war sauber. Ich gehe davon aus, dass die Kreativität des Strandes auch in den Zimmern und im Eingangsbereich nach und nach Einzug halten wird. Es wird sicherlich keine Luxusunterkunft aber für Familien, Tauchsportler, junge und jungebliebene Reisende kann es eine der besten Unterkünfte am Strand werden, die man sich auch noch leisten kann.
