Lovely old hotel in York old town!
Pros:

We stayed here for our wedding anniversary. The room in the roof was wonderfully romantic, with exposed beams on the ceiling and a standing bathtub in the bedroom. Staff were very kind and left an annivsary welcome with chocolates on our bed and carried our luggage up to our room. Wonderful breakfast too!

Pros:

Location - very central in York. Comfortable bed; friendly, helpful staff; character building; very good breakfast.

Cons:

Whilst the location is right in the middle of York, it can come with some disadvantage- if staying over a weekend, noise levels from night time revellers are noticeable.

Easy to reach destinations, messed up final day breakfast and left me unwell. Would book again but eat elsewhere

Central and well positioned to attractions. Loved waterfall shower

10 all'accoglienza e alla professionalità di tutto lo staff. Ho soggiornato una sola notte in questa splendida struttura storica, tenuta perfettamente e curata in ogni dettaglio. Eccellente anche il ristorante e la colazione inclusa. Consigliatissimo per una sosta a York anche per la posizione a 1 a piedi da York Minster, la Cattedrale, e 10 minuti a piedi dalla stazione dei treni. Se un giorno tornerò a York saprò dove alloggiare 😉
