We’re super excited to share that we’re having a bit of a makeover. Between 5 August 2024 and 28 October 2024, 15 of our bedrooms will be closed for refurbishments. The room was a bit dark

The location, the decor of the room, the comfy bed, the coffee maker and kettle.
No lift. Had to carry very heavy cases up 4 flights of stairs. The lighting was very dim. No light over/near the wardrobe. Lack of toilet paper.
Excellent facilities and room. Kept bag for us while we were away for 3 weeks between stays. Can't fault the place.
The property is now outdated and in poor condition. It is in serious need of a complete renovation.
Overall, the hotel’s prices, both for accommodation and dining, are extremely high and in no way reflect the actual value or quality offered. You are essentially paying a premium for something that simply isn’t there. The prices are unjustifiably high compared to what you actually receive.
It was fabulous. Like a country inn but in great location next to Clapham Common. Super pub & restaurant.
A little difficult to find way around the corridors
Wonderful stay I don’t understand the bad reviews. Our room was cozy, well appointed and quiet. The beds were comfortable. The air conditioner was a welcome addition as it was a warm, humid October day. I enjoyed the view of The Common. The shower was spacious with good water pressure. I enjoyed the amenities and offerings. Well stocked mini bar. If you want anything. We had dinner and breakfast at the hotel and the food was excellent. The onion rings were exceptional. As for the staff, they could not have been nicer. Explained things in detail and were very attentive. Would definitely stay here again.

Great location outside of city centre but with easy tube access. Local shops provide everything you need, although would recommend a 2 stop tube trip to Balham for even bigger range of shops/supplies.
Pub underneath is great but does not create noise that can be heard in the rooms. Great access to Clapham Common
The room was super clean; the staff were very friendly and helpful. I'd happily stay here again. It's well placed for London; the meals are tasty and it was great that we could dine in the hotel if we didn't want to go out.
I felt the quality of the granola at breakfast could be improved.

Stayed before, beds seemed uncomfortable, mattress maybe pass best and pillows lumpy. This is compared to previous stay.
