Lovely place to stay
Pros:

The Sun Rooms are in a great location. Easy to find and good for the beach as well as travelling out to other locations. The room was clean and tidy and had been made up to twin beds as requested.

Cons:

We were confused about putting the servicing sign on the door. Second day we forgot, which meant although we got fresh towels the bin wasn't emptied and no breakfast supplies provided. I think it could be made clearer that the sign needs to be out if you do want servicing. The room could do with hooks somewhere, especially in the bathroom.

Very friendly hotel
Pros:

Hotel was central to Alnmouth and very friendly. There was even a pub quiz while we were there!

Cons:

We knew before hand breakfast was only orange juice and croissant so we’re prepared but probably could improve this by adding maybe a little more as we were walking that day. We also weren’t sure about where to leave our bags for the transport company (as we were on a walking trip) and no one was there to advise.

It was okay. It would not be somewhere I would go back to.
Pros:

It was well situated

Cons:

The room could do with some TLC. There was damp in the bathroom. The outside of the shower didn’t look particularly clean and the wallpaper was coming away from the wall near the window. The bathroom door had a very loud squeak when it was opened.

Pros:

One of 4 rooms above the pub on the main street, we didn't hear any noise from the pub or traffic. Comfortable bed, good shower, good size telly. Small fridge in the room. Choice of teas.

Cons:

On street parking,not that many places available. Continental breakfast consists of 1 croissant each with jam, no butter and a small carton of juice. Steep stairs up to the rooms

Room quite basic but clean and tidy and did the job. Lovely staff and early check in appreciated.
Pros:

Location, simple but clean. Had everything we needed.

Cons:

Lacked shower gel in the shower. A couple of tumblers would have been useful

It can be difficult to find parking close by. Not the pubs fault, though!

Pros:

Great location, lovely room. Friendly, helpful staff.
Although they don't do breakfast they provide a croissant and juice in the room (as well as tea/coffee). They also offer a 20% discount in the local golf club for breakfast if you want.

Cons:

Nothing - it was all great.

Pros:

A spacious single room , that felt like staying in someone's house. Very kindly gave me a jug of fresh milk when I used up all the milk sachets in the room. Lovely and quiet.

Pros:

Location. Staff. Quirky.

Cons:

Noisy on the evening/night. Little tired. Too much furniture and stuff packed into one room. Less is more. Hooks would be hugely helpful.

Dissapointed
Pros:

We used the hotel as a base and the village was lovely for what we needed as we toured further up the north coast

Cons:

The hotel/Inn itself was not the cleanest, the carpet in the hotel was badly stained and the radiators in need of a good clean. The bathroom floor was stained too. We expected a continental style breakfast but were only offered a croissant and jam the first day and on the second day we got a juice too, this was all out of a fridge situated in our room but were given a 20% voucher to spend at the local Golf Course in the village to pay again for a breakfast. Our point was we paid extra for a breakfast we were not happy with what was offered. No parking facility readily available, had to drive around a one way village several times to secure any parking given we are a Blue Badge Holder.

Pros:

La ubicació excel.lent, la peculiaritat del lloc (habitacions a sobre d'un Pub).

Cons:

La dutxa és poc convencional i té un control de temps, has d'apretar constantment un botó perquè surti l'aigua mentres et vas dutxant.
